   Beautifully made fresh pasta and flavourful pizza. This place takes pride in their food. Was only my first visit and so looking forward to going back. It was a bit busy and only two people working but the wait was worth it.

   I picked up a takeaway order from Giovanni's Italian Restaurant and it was fantastic. I can honestly say they serve the best Italian food in Rotorua, and the quality really shows. I ordered the Gnocchi with Bolognese sauce and was impressed by both the flavor and portion size. The Bolognese was rich and hearty, clearly slow-cooked to perfection, and the gnocchi were tender and perfectly prepared. The serving was massive, definitely great value for money. I also tried their Quattro Formaggi Pizza with added spinach and bacon. The four cheese blend was incredible and my additions complemented it beautifully. The crust had that perfect balance of crispy and chewy that you want in a great pizza. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. You can tell they use quality ingredients and take real care with their cooking. The takeaway service was really quick too, which was perfect when I was hungry and ready to eat! If you're craving authentic Italian food in Rotorua, Giovanni's is the place to go. I'll definitely be returning soon!

   A True Taste of Italy! We had a wonderful dining experience at Giovanni Italian Restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy, authentic atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was rich in flavor and beautifully presented. The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the wood-fired pizza had the perfect crisp and chew. We especially loved the tiramisu — one of the best we’ve ever had! The service was attentive and friendly, even with our large group. The staff made sure we were well looked after without being intrusive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine Italian dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

   Fantastic Italian Experience in Rotorua! Giovanni Rotorua delivers on all fronts—delicious food, warm ambiance, and outstanding service. The dishes were beautifully presented and full of authentic Italian flavor, especially the lasagna and creamy mushroom chicken. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which makes the visit even more convenient. A must-visit spot in Rotorua for food lovers!

   Started badly with a half pour of wine which they assured me was a standard serve, however the table next to us then got a glass that was twice what was in my glass. The antipasti platter we got was definitely not worth over $40, had a few crumbs of cheese, 3 slices of bread for 2 people, and for some reason a massive amount of capers which didn't really go with anything. Pizza was average, and we had to ask for more plates, services and cutlery. Way too expensive for what you get, and service friendly but poor

   Was part of a group of 8 last night, 4 of us had cabonara which was extremely salty, not pleasant, one steak was ordered as med rare and came out well done. They offered a recook or 50% discount. Not a great night.

   I dined here on locals night, my waitress Nicola was absolutely fabulous, she recommended some of her favourite dishes such as the creamy basil pesto, which is what i ordered and it was just amazing, so creamy and full of flavour. i did not eat it all however the next day it was still delicious. the restaurant was so clean and the decorations were gorgeous, definitely will dine here again. Great place
