Absolutely outstanding place! 5 scale is not high enough. The service was amazing. We interacted with 3 staff and they all went above and beyond to cater for special dietary needs. Checking with chefs etc. I have allergies and went for my birthday with my partner. They were all so warm, caring and helpful and double checking everything. Will come again for sure and highly recommendn

Lovely pub food. I visited The Good Home for the first time and really enjoyed the food. The standouts were the fried chicken and the chips with cheese and gravy, both were packed with flavour and cooked well. The calamari, unfortunately, was quite tough and chewy, even though we ate it fresh. Drinks were reasonably priced, and it was a lovely day to sit outside, which added to the experience. Service was friendly, but a bit more attention would’ve been great. I would’ve happily ordered more drinks if checked on. Overall, I had a good time and look forward to trying more from the menu.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience and have never felt so welcomed. A lady named Sue, also known as Mumma Sue, was incredibly warm and caring, with a mother-like demeanor. When I complimented her kindness, she gave me a hug and said I had brightened her night. We also had a lovely lady named Heather, who took our orders and made us feel welcome. The food was fantastic! My dad ordered a classic beer to start. For our appetizers, we had BBQ pork bites, which were delicious. My dad enjoyed the fish and chips with a side salad, while I had the hawker pizza topped with salmon. I highly recommend the bay of passion cocktail with tequila; it really hit the spot! We had never felt so full—no restaurant has succeeded at that before! The portion sizes were outstanding: my dad’s fish and chips came with two large pieces of fish, a generous handful or two of chips, and a handful of salad. My pizza was massive, and I enjoyed every bite. We will definitely be coming back time and time again!

Everyone else loved their meals. However, I found my fish greasy, and the panne cotta itself was bland, though the citrus sauce was very sweet and strong. Service was excellent and appreciated being somewhere where the music isn't so loud you can't hear those at the table talking.

I enjoyed my visit here at Good Homes. Although we were late, staff were happy to accommodate us. They also gave us realistic expectations for ordering since we had a movie happening soon. The staff are great, the food and drinks were delicious. The seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere is just right.

Been coming here for few years ever since since it’s opening. It’s great local pub with with fantastic atmosphere, good food and selection of beers and drinks. Service is usually friendly and attentive, with exception of one sad and miserable manager Sue, who is a miserable person with no respect to the guests and stressing out customers and staff. Once one of the new waitresses forgot to place our order so we complained after an hour wait and she just went berserk and started shouting and screaming at us making entire restaurant look at us. Never got apology and it’s really sad as we really loved this place but because of Sue we never ever come back there again. Place gets very, very busy on Friday and Saturday night and booking is necessary as well as wait time for food can get much longer. Burgers are absolutely best in the city , probably because of unique pretzel buns they use. There is a secret vegan menu, that you need to ask for. which is positive surprise for a pub. Good selection of food and beers for everyone’s taste.

This a great bar and restaurant. It was a rainy cold night but toasty warm inside. I really enjoyed my drink and dinner. Staff were very efficient. I had the pork ribs which were cooked to perfection, the meat falling off the bone but still moist and delicious. A huge amount of wedges and a token coleslaw. A nice selection of beers.

Good experience! Highly recommend their beer! The salmon was really fresh and well cooked. Sauces tasted amazing. Breads were toasted a little bit too much but with great choice of dipping sauces. Only the vegetables lacked variety but they were still nicely roasted. The atmosphere was great and staff were very friendly. We will come again to try other options.

I’ve been in this place only twice but tried different meals and I can tell you that are all tasty. However, my fave one is the beef rib - OMG, it’s perfect! The price is good, the staff is friendly and the environment is lovely. It’s quite busy, so make sure that you book a table before you go there.
