   Been here before and been awesome. This visit not so much. Good atmosphere, great music. I got California Burger, couldnt eat all the burger, patties were seriously dry. Jalapeno poppers were great. Berry Sundae was on point. Biggest dissapointments were when it came to ordering they had no Root beer, then next item I wanted was fried pickles, didnt have them either. Then the amount of time it took to get serviced was really slow. Finished meal and waited 20 minutes to see if the waitress would come and she didnt so I went to the counter and ordered it. I then waited another 25 minutes to get it, I was almost about to tell them not to worry about it. A real shame as Ive always rated this place but with so many food options in Christchurch I think Ill put these guys well down my list next time I want a feed.

   Service was good, atmosphere is amazing with all the decorations. Food is a bit of a let down. We got chicken and waffles, the waffles had little to no flavour and seemed almost undercooked. Eggs benedict was alright, not enough hollindaise sauce. Milkshake was good.

   This was my second visit to Diner 66, first experience I only had a dessert so decided to come back for a main meal. I had the Southern fried chicken eggs Benny. Presentation of the food was good, whilst the hashbrown looked crispy and golden it lacked flavour and just tasted oily, poached eggs were cooked to perfection. I wouldn't recommend the pot of English breakfast tea, it was very weak tasting. I have given 3 stars due to my cup was dirty and the cutlery sitting in the cutlery holder was dirty, one spoon still had what looked like dried icecream on it. It put me off ordering a dessert. I can't vouch for the rest of the group but that was just my personal opinion on my experience.

   Was on our to do list before we went home to Aus. Went today for lunch and had a note on the door saying closed for an hour. Door was unlocked and could see diners inside so walked in only to be told very rudely they were closed. I asked for how long, the reply came for an hour, I asked an hour from when and the girl who was on her mobile replied an hour from now. Wouldn't have cared except we just caught a bus from the airport to here and had hungry kids. Instead found somewhere else which had excellent service and food. Won't be going back here next time we visit.

   Perfect for an American dining experience. Great food with lots of options, and amazing milkshakes. Very cool decorations and nicnacs around the restaurant too!

   We came the first time and really enjoyed our experience and food was amazing. We made a decision that we will come here more often. We visited the place a week later. We specifically came so our daughter can try the curly fries and milk shake. We asked waitress if we can order it. She said it is not yet lunch menu. We were only 12mins out from the lunch menu. I asked the waitress if she can ask the chef if possible if he can do it as we specifically came here for our daughter to try the fries. She finally agreed but gave us a bad attitude. If service would be like this , we will not come anymore and will tell all our friends not to attend. This was a small ask but yet she made it a big deal. The place was not even busy and the waitress was willing to lose a customer. I hope management or the owners of Dinner 66 see this post so they can adjust her attitude. The Waitress working was morning shift Friday 23rd June 2023.
