   Established in the 1930s, but not shabby. Has a really quirky vibe with interesting decor and heyday memorabilia and music playing. A real step back in time with modern movies and a good selection of the new movies playing. We were in wee theatre 5 featuring 3 rows of seats. Great selection of snacks. Was worth the ride from Hamilton (the movie we wanted to see wasn't on there in any of the theaters that evening) and would make an excellent date night or place to take your Mum to reminisce!

   A charming little place, far better than the big names in the movie business. If you want friendly service, reasonably priced popcorn and a good experience come here. If you want overpriced snacks and to be sat next to 200 other people, go elsewhere.

   Wonderful vintage setting but with modern screens and sound quality. Food is extremely affordable as well as ticket prices compared to larger chain cinemas . Glad we have this piece of history for future generations to enjoy.

   The People working at the Regent Theatre were so accommodating to my needs . My sister , who is 60yo had a big fall straight onto her knees and face on the w/e just gone . The staff went to great lengths , particularly Mary, to get my sister inside to sit on a comfy couch way before the doors opened and then offered us upfront seats as my sister couldn’t get up the stairs . They couldn’t do enough for us . It is so nice to see so much good in people still . Thank you to all of you so much .

   CANNOT Rate this place highly enough!! From the quirky old school feel to the comfortable cinemas and superb staff. The pricing is great and the variety of confectionery takes me back to when I was a kid. Thank you for making our NZ trip that much better
