The cinema has convenient parking, which makes it easy to arrive without stress. The seating is very comfortable with good spacing and legroom. The screen quality is excellent — bright, clear, and sharp. The sound system is powerful and well-balanced, making the movie experience truly immersive.”

Went to see advanced screening of Wicked. The cinema was very hot and the movie volume was too quiet. Good surround sound volume is the bare minimum for a MUSICAL surely. I told the manager about the volume- that the side/wall speakers were either not working or very low - I think they only responded by turning up the volume at the front. The movie was louder at the front than the back. When you pay an arm and a leg to go to the movies these days you at least want to hear the movie and not be sweating. Only gave an extra star because I liked the glittery Wicked themed prosecco. But yeah, probably my worst experience at the movies ever - only stayed bc my gf wanted to make the most of our money and shes a Rotorua girlie who can withstand hot temperatures. Very disappointing, doing a disservice to an epic such as Wicked. Ariana would never approve of this. Cynthia would be aghast.

Cinema 4 has really bad sound quality. Went to watch movies with friends and family tonight and midst the amazing movie during song sequence the quality of speakers is terrible. Bass and treble both had crackling sounds and it was very annoying to concentrate on the content rather get annoyed with the crackling sounds. I would highly suggest to check with the counter if sound quality has been improved or else Te Awa Hoyts is a good option for movies.

I ordered Frozone ( the dispenser was inside the counter but with a gap to enter inside), the cashier gave me an empty container. As I approached the counter nobody was there. Since the movie is about to atart, I entered and got my frozone dispensed. Suddenly, a dude from the staff room started asking me(visibly upset) why I entered the inside. I told him there is no sign saying do not enter, i was handed an empty container so I thought it was self service since nobody was there to serve me the drink. He insisted that I should have known. I just said sorry but felt like he was telling me as if Im one of his employees. It was embarassing with other peoplw around. I wish I got his name and his position but I just walk away to de-escalate. I was just surprise how he approach paying costumers like that.otherwise the theater is clean and good place to watch movies.

Great movie theatre. I love the atmosphere that has been created. The prices for going to the movies is exuberant but it was the school holidays and we don't go often as it is cheaper to stream a movie at home. Although the candy floss is enticing at $9.50 it had to stay in the shelf. There was only one staff member on the register. I think more action needs to be taken when younger children are seeing PG rated movies. Honestly it is not a pleasant experience to have younger bored children climbing through seats, talking loudly and running around. Parents please think before you buy. It is so sad to see the movie theaters so empty when years ago prior to the change in ownership the floor space at Metro used to be packed with people waiting to see a movie let alone the film being sold out. The prices and food costs are out of this world.

The rolled ice cream shop part was unmanned and noone attended when we waited, so we gave up on that. Great movie though. Cinema was clean.

Nice, clean, and comfortable movie theatres, and comes in both recliner and ordinary seats. Spacious waiting areas with comfy seats as well. Food and beverage are a bit expensive, but it's expected at every cinema. Very convenient location in town, and is close to everything. It comes with free parking at Centre Place for every movie ticket purchase. Parking ticket just needs to be validated by one of the staff.

A cinema that really feels like it was designed by a movie lover, almost like it was a movie set in itself. Love the curved seating area with multi-screen showing trailers. Also love the self-service drinks and incredibly friendly service. Only drops one star as with all three films I saw here, the screens are not very big, which loses some of the spectacle.
