Simon was rude and horrible to deal with. I told him about previous experience with Doctors and he told me 'I dont believe you'. Had a generally bad vibe to the whole place. No one cared about anything, they were all just doing their job. No smiles. Horrible place, horrible people. Especially Simon.

This medical central is extremely unprofessional, which honestly matches the low rating it has received. At first, when I emailed and booked the appointment with the reception, their attitude was very good. I told them that my child is only free after 3:00pm, and the reception helped me schedule the appointment for 3;15 pm. But somehow the next day it was changed to 2:45pm, and on the morning of the third day, I received an email saying the appointment was now 1:45 pm. When I communicated that I couldn't make it, the reception cancelled the appointment and asked me to call them to reschedule. The reception's work ability is very poor. From start to finish, they kept changing the time themselves. The central completely disrespect patients. So they change appointment times without consulting the patient, and emails were also very rude.

Nurses are amazing....they should get 20 stars. Dr Emma lied in my patient record 'Indici' by saying we discussed info, but never did. When I approached straight away...she deleted/ altered the notes and said it was a "miscommunication". Just check your notes on 'Indici' to make sure they're accurate and not false.

My son and I have been attending HEMC for the last 2 years. Firstly I would like to say our GP Dr Simon Hornby was as an excellent doctor and went above and beyond for my son in regards to his ADHD referring him to see a psychiatrist to get different meds. Since he has left we have signed up with a new GP. When I tried to book today it’s a 2 week wait to see our GP. The reason I was given is that they have a shortage of Doctors at the moment so other clients are being pushed onto our doctor then making her unavailable for her actual patients. The most infuriating thing is that you are still taking on new patients when you don’t have the capacity to service the clients that you already have. The reception staff are rude. I’ve never seen them smile once in the two years that I’ve been coming to the clinic they always snap at you, are passive aggressive and I’ve seen them be super rude to people especially clients who’s first language isn’t English. And to be honest, if I can’t book something I need on myincindi and I have to ring the reception I actually dread having to speak to them. Your reception staff are the face of your clinic and when they can’t even smile or pretend to be friendly you’ve got a big problem. They don’t know the reason that someone’s making an appointment and it’s a doctor surgery. Your clients should be treated with care and love and empathy and respect. If they can’t even be friendly and smile at the clients they need to look at different careers.

Attended this practice for one year only, after my GP of 8 years or so left the profession. Although there were always lots of same day appointments available, I found this to be to my detriment long term. I was forever going back for the same issue, which was subsequently resolved within two appointments at another practice so I'm not sure why hemc dragged it out so much. Hemc may be great at providing very basic health services, nothing complex and they didn't seem to have much knowledge in the area of women's health. I have a hormone disorder that is not well understood and my symptoms became chronic because it was not treated/managed appropriately. I requested to have my jadelle removed at one point because it was not managing symptoms, which was declined - i later found out that they werent allowed to do that and a gynaecologist offered a mirena instead to manage symptoms. This so far has been successful - a gynae said that the jadelle needed to be removed asap and may have been causing issues for me. Although this validated my concerns, it was frustrating i was not listened to at hemc when I tried to explain my concerns and request its removal. One gp at hemc pressured me into accepting an exam alongside a cervical smear. Which I accepted, to find out after that she never completed the exam (I questioned her after I had concerns it was completed so quickly). This was an informed consent issue. The GP I was under really cared and did their best. I do think that they were constrained by a rigid system that was not ideal, were trained to lump people into boxes and not listen to a patients experience of their body. On one occasion, I was asked by an administrator in front of a line of people, why I needed to see a female doctor and what the appointment was for (they asked repeatedly and pressed for personal information that was clinical and not an administrative matter). Pronouns and gender diversity were not considered at the practice or acknowledged in any of their paperwork. I have a lot of respect for the gp I was under and believe they were doing the best they could with the resources they had. It did seem to be a systemic issue within the practice itself. The main issues seemed to be related to privacy, informed consent and lack of inclusivity and appreciation of diversity.

Extremely unsympathetic and unprofessional staff. An absolute disgrace to the Healthcare industry wouldn't recommend anyone go to this clinic they will take your money and boot you out the door after belittling you and offering no help, solutions or solid advice. Extremely rude reception/admin Staff. Doctors that belittle and mock you. Absolutely terrible.

I'd like to specifically shout out the ladies at reception in this clinic, because they really are superstars and make the whole process so much easier. Specifically Edyn, she was so lovely and really went out of her way to help me when I was having some issues with the phone appointments. I'm not sure who reads these reviews but if management is reading this give Edyn a raise!! Matter of fact give all the reception ladies a raise because everytime I've interacted with them they have been super helpful and kind, and when you're sick and needing help that's really all you could ask for.

No one answers the phone. if they finally do, you have to wait a week or more for an appointment and not even with your own doctor. used to be good.

Was their client for 15 years. Due to low level of interest from GP initial symptoms of spine collapse due to osteoporosis were missed - changed GP to better one, but it was too late - I became disabled and lost income as can't work. I used to be a doctor myself, so can see what was done wrong. For this 15 years they lost all normal stuff, only shareholders are sitting waiting for retirement and other stuff is quickly rotating. No one will care about you - as soon as you become complicated case for them, they will try to get rid of you, using all methods, even illegal. And when (not "if",but "when") they will throw you away, they will stab you in the back as a farwell, by no repeating a script for your essential meds for next period while you look for another clinic to enroll to.

I have been a patient at this center since I was child and it used to be one of the most well respected health care centers in Hamilton. I am sad to say however, that this is no long the medical center I remember. The receptionists are extremely rude and degrading. It is ridiculously hard to book an appointment. They will not book an appointment when you first call them, they put you on the 'triage' list and say that someone will call you back to book an appointment, and they never call. The newer doctors have no compassion for their clients. I would not recommend this medical center if you are experiencing mental health issues. They will come across very judgmental and unsympathetic. Every time I take my children in there, they pretty much tell me not to bring my children in unless they are 'really unwell'. Which of course is extremely alarming. 100% would NOT recommend!
