Hillcrest Haven Bar & Eatery runs with a kebab and pita menu and an easy pace. The team keeps things friendly and organised. Wraps hold together with fresh salads and steady sauces. Plates offer plenty without weighing things down. A sensible spend for the spread.
While the deco may be a bit dated, the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The portions are very big for the price. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place if you are after a good value, great tasting meal.
So the plus is the food is amazing and they do prepare in time so if it's based solely on that I highly recommend. My concern is that every time I have orders online my order has been delayed and the system seems to have issues getting the order (I have ordered through Door dash and on the portal), the store apologies and does give courtesy items but I would advise for them to fix their system. The great food 5* review, the system and technical issues 1* review, overall: 3* Update: the number doesn't go to them but to someone's mobile and they are struggling to understand why
Zero atmosphere. Very cold - both the service, and the bar were lacking personality, warmth, devoid of happiness, and spark. No conversation or banter with the guy behind the bar on a dreary cold day. Food was dreadfuly undercooked and unappetising. We played the pokies but as soon as we left the machine the same guy (owner/?mis-manager) jumped in with the key and zeroed all the machines. No wins by anyone on any pokies at all the entire 2hrs we were there. Just really uninviting and lacking warmth, sincerity and friendliness of a kiwi pub on a weekend afternoon. There was 3 people in the huge pub the whole time we were there. Speaks volumes
Awesome kai tonight! Coming out was worth it as it was a cold chilly night. Thank you so much for the service and hospitality. We ordered a lot of food and it was definitely better than our usual place and so much more on the plate. Will definitely recommend you to all our friends including sports teams as well. Thank you!!!
Burgers were very small not much filling and everything was over cooked even the chips and fish. Over priced for the food that we received ended up going to McDonald’s because we were still hungry and food was unsatisfactory however the person serving us seemed nice enough they definitely need a better cook!!
Went tonight to celebrate youngest Sons achievement on attaining Restricted Licence first attempt. Great service. Delicious food. Very friendly and wife loved Pink Panther drinks.
Wonderful staff, great friendly service, good value and tasty food! Fries are amazing, pizzas thin and crispy, cheesy garlic bread with homemade hummus superb, and chicken tikka a great low carb option, with pure blonde on tap!
Really yummy Breakfast and great to talk to the new owner who is totally open to new ideas and suggestions , consistency of food is the key in presentation and quantity and quality. The new menu sounds exciting :)
