Nice place to sit back and watch the wild life. Plus they didn’t even try to take our food. Good spot for a suladae. Salmon eggs Benedict probably not salty enough. Didn’t drink enough water. Needs more salt. Nice art. I’m gonna hang it all in my yurt.
We had a chance to go to Under the red Verandah for breakfast after a friend recommended and gotta tell you guys that this place hasn’t let us down at all. The food was amazing we ordered Bacon and egg on toast, Smoked Salmon with hollandaise sauce and the seafood chowder is my favourite (must order) got to admit it the food were top qualities, worth what you’ve paid for. Large selection on cabinet food as well and their coffee were awesome too. Plenty of parking on side and off street, Big open area outside for kids and animals friendly.
We visited twice while I was in Christchurch. Both visits had great customer service and coffee—the beans were full of flavour and consistently enjoyable. During our first visit, the food (pictured) was amazing. My cheese scone and scrambled eggs were particularly yummy. On our second visit, the big breakfasts we ordered weren’t quite as good, but still filled us up and hit the spot. Overall, a reliable café with fantastic coffee and friendly service.
Under the red Verandah Restaurant is an amazing breakfast spot. The location is beautiful, surrounded by lush trees and a charming setup that creates a relaxing atmosphere. Parking is ample and convenient. They offer excellent gluten-free options— the GF bread breakfast is the best I've had. It was well-cooked, delicious, and vegetarian-friendly. If you're in Christchurch and need a great place for breakfast, I definitely recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed!
Our first time visit. We sat in the garden, they have blankets available. Great café. Really cute decorations and sense of humor photos of the staff. Really funny. Their cabinet food looks really good. Coffee were so good, food was really nice. Love their service for little one. Definitely will. Visit again next time we come to christchurch.
Had brunch here on a cold and sunny winter morning, the outside seating ww were at was blocked by a sunshade which was a shame. Food looked great and daughter enjoyed most of her kids meal (especially the chocolate cake :)) Parking can be an issue as there's only a small car park so it's mostly off street parking. Love the exterior setting but do wish there was more inside seating for the cooler days and months.
I have only heard good things about this place. Granted I didn't try the food here but my sister raves about the Seafood chowder. Caramel latte was absolutely yum. Will come by again. Also a plus that this Cafe is dog friendly, the batista even gave a wee dog treat for free. Lovely service.
Been here many times, always really good food and service. It is especially good on warmer days when the outdoor area can be used. Very homely food and sweet treats from the cabinet!
