For all those surfing movie buffs out there, Manu Bay is the break that was used in the classic surf movie Endless Summer. We arrived on an epic couple of days. This long, peeling left-hand break is said to offer one of the longest rides in the world and can be found a mere 8km west of Raglan town. This is probably the most well-known and beloved surf spot in the Raglan area, and the wave itself ranges from two to ten feet. It is a long left-hand point break on a boulder beach, and the wave reels across the whole bay and round past the boat ramp

Great beach parking with a world famous surf break. Facilities also make surfing Manu Bay very pleasant.

Came here early morning, the road was busy with boats going out but managed to park before boat ramp. Small stair case to rocks and to some rock pools. Great for kids to discover crabs and sea weed and small fish - but ensure you go at low tide. Great views and recommend this place for a look

Windy place thus makes great waves. Good spot for surfing and kite flying. I've seen some people fishing by the rocks too. Not sure if you can actually catch any but makes good photos especially when the waves bash against the rocks.

One of the best, if not the best, surfing spots in New Zealand. The day was just ideal for surfing, I arrived around 9 and it was high tide, with more than 80 surfers trying to get their wave. It was really packed. Recommended to arrived as early as possible. Showers are provided, clean toilets and spectacular view. Worth watching and relaxing hearing the waves breaking.

Beautiful surfing bay. You have to cross rocks to get to the water. Waves looked good and you can partially see sunset here. Sufficient parking spaces with a restroom nearby. Also a great place have a picnic, relax and watch the surfers.
