What a nice surprise. Lunchtime Friday, plenty if great cabinet food, heated and great presentation. Staff brought uz meals, water etc and were friendly. Was the old NZ Post, quite a unusbuikding, but very much worth the stop.
We called in at 2.30 pm on a Friday Afternoon and were pleasantly surprised to find the cabinets still had plenty of choice. A good range to choose from that catered to all our wants. Hot food arrived in a timely manner. If you are after home made cafe style food, this is the place for you. Portion sizes were great - definitely value for $$. Coffee was excellent as were the milkshakes for the kids. Staff were super friendly. Cafe is well positioned on the main road, making for a great spot for watching the world go by. Clean and tidy premises with comfy seating available. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
I think the highlight of this place is Nana Lou’s cafe. Fantastic food at their cafe. Apart from that they have a sushi place and an Indian place. Got chatting with the lovely man who looks/cleans after the place. Delightful guy, 83 years old and full of life.
Fantastic customer service! Portions are huge, fresh and delicious!
The go to place to eat is Midori Sushi! They have the best sushi in the Waikato region, totally recommend! The place to eat however, it needs a whole makeover. It's all dated and theres alot of stalls that are abandoned and there is mold on the concrete beams. Toilets were dirty.
Haven't been here in a long time since I was a kid but when we went on the weekend only the Indian and Cafe was open. Food came out quick :) was hoping to taste the Thai food!
Nana Lou's Cafe totally exceeded expectations this week. Had a great coffee (even have oat milk as an option) and a delicious BLAT with fries (Watties tomato sauce would have earnt an extra star). Highly recommended when you are passing through Putaruru!
