Amazing food!!! They made chai on special request although it wasn't on the menu and it was one of the best tea i had including India. Very polite owner and so reasonable price. Loved it!!!
We ordered a range of dishes and they were all great! They had good portions but the colouring made it difficult to identify between two curries. Other than that, it was great and the service and wait time were good too. Definitely recommend!
We were shouted out to dinner and enjoyed a wonderful variety!! Platter for two was delightful, spring rolls were really tasty, Garlic Naan lovely and light and Tastyβ¦ Mango Chicken deserves another visit for a repeat, Dalh Tadka was great. Lovely relaxing backgroud music and friendly staff made for a wonderful evening. Really recommend this placeβ¦ weβll be back!
We went on a weekday and it was pretty empty so we nearly bailed to go elsewhere - we were all so glad we didnβt. The Chicken Korma and the Goat Curry were our favourites. Although the Butter Chicken and Mixed Seafood were also good. Get the garlic naan of course, and ask to swap a rice to jeera rice if you can for some more variety. Portion sizes could be a little larger for the curries given the price. Great spot!

It's so lovely to find this amazing Indian cuisine in a small town. And for us, the vegan options were very appreciated. The food was delicious and served promptly. I would visit again if we return to Matamata, and in the meantime, I encourage you to support this great local business.
My wife and I were visiting NZ from the USA and decided to get some Indian food for dinner to mix things up. We were very impressed with the food, decor, and service of this establishment. I had ordered the goat curry, as hot, and it definitely did not disappoint! I enjoy strong spicy flavor and the dish was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the lamb curry with mild spice and loved her food too. The orders came out quickly and the service from all staff was very friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are in the area and want an enjoyable Indian meal!
