In the center of Christ Town, it's very convenient. It's open until 9 p.m. I bought eggs and tomatoes to make dinner.
I always go to this local new world, the staff is always delivering the best service possible with a big smile and they are all very nice, even during busy hours . The products are easy to found and always a good quality. Everytime I couldn't found a products a staff is happily guiding me to my product. I love shopping here.
Beautiful store, love that it's got such variety without being a vast space, I don't have to walk a marathon to get my groceries. Everything is so fresh and well presented, I really like the variety of prepaired meats and meals ready to cook. I'd maybe like to have the flowers nearer the checkouts instead of as you enter, purely because it's difficult not to crush them with items as I fill my trolley.
Really good quick service. Pretty much standard layout for a supermarket. Friendly staff, very helpful, and service was quick. Plenty of parking except it can get scarce in peak times. Wheel chair parking and accessible entrance. Lotto, fresh produce, baked goods, fruit and vege generally of high standard and priced quite competitively. I went there Xmas eve and found the experience to be smooth and hassle free. Good range of goods for a moderately sized supermarket with good stocks of the common goods you would typically need to fill the cupboards. Not my local, but I have shopped here several times since its opening many years ago and would definitely recommend it as a good place to do a quick hassle free shop. Top notch staff and pleasant clean store made for a good shopping experience. (For reference I absolutely hate grocery shopping!)
It is already a very “ average” new World” and now they will not use their club card for you to get the Specials! Just another way for us to get ripped off with over priced monopolistic supermarkets in NZ!

I've never really had a problem with any Christchurch supermarket. I go in, find my stuff, buy my stuff and leave. Works well for me. Works for New World.
They have some good prices on certain items but the service is very poor. Staff are very uptight and they don't pack your items even if you buy the bags from them. I had to pack my own and even then I had to put it on a seat as they don't have a packing station/place. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Might pay a little bit more at other supermarkets but at least the staff are friendlier and you get a service.
