A busy popular place. Everything you need right down to those little stones you like around pot plants. I believed they are priced well.
Terrible service and unfair pricing: I had a very unpleasant experience at GardenMaker today. I went to buy 1 cubic metre of white stones, but because their trailer supposedly could only take two scoops, I had to make two trips. They charged me $70 per scoop, even though 1 cubic metre (3 scoops) costs $202. When I came back for the last scoop, they forced me to pay the full $70 again instead of the remaining $62. To make things worse, after returning the trailer (within 2 hours, clean and undamaged), they charged me the trailer hire fee twice! The staff, especially the older woman, was rude, unreasonable, and completely ignored logic or fairness. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and misleading. Be very careful when dealing with this place — check every charge before you pay! Your reply perfectly demonstrates the very attitude that created this problem. Your “safety policy” is fine, but charging me for two separate purchases instead of one single order is unfair. I made two trips as you required — I should pay the $202 price for 1 cubic metre, not $70 per scoop. You demand a “respectful environment” for your staff, which is reasonable. But respect goes both ways. When your employee shouted and refused to let me speak, was that respecting me as a customer? You expect absolute respect while offering none in return. How admirable.
Made a recent order of 5m3. Reckon we were delivered closer to 3.5-3.7m3. This was based on similar quantities normally ordered through city firewood so there can be no argument around how this is stacked versus loaded. Tried to have a conversation with the manager who was completely unhelpful suggesting we just ‘bring it back then’ if we weren’t happy. Very poor attempt at resolving any issues and unprepared to find any resolution.
