   I recently bought a ring online for my partners birthday but when he tried it on it did not fit, I emailed the store about possibly getting it resized and got no response. So I went into the store and a very nice lady helped me and got ahold of the manager. I was then told this specific ring could not be resized but it was perfectly okay to exchange for a different size but I would have to bring my partner in to make sure they 100% get the right size because they could only do it once. we confirm a day for us to come back and we do, except now they apparently cannot do it. But what they can do is hand my partner a ring 9x the price of what I paid for the first ring and tell me that they are happy to sell me this ring that is “similar” but they cannot do anything about the first ring. Also to top it off they printed out a receipt and waved it in my partners face showing him exactly how much I paid for it. I’m not one to ever make complaints but my partner had to take time off work and drive two hours so this was honestly just a very upsetting and stressful situation that wasted a lot of time.

The staff member asked if there was an occasion for the purchase and it was for my birthday and she wish me a happy birthday and asked if I would like my other rings cleaned and polished. I had a very positive experience at Michael Hill. I received a birthday discount too. Which is nice to look forward to every year. "

   I came into this Michael Hill store with my fiancé looking for a wedding ring. We were asked by the team what our budget was, and they proceeded to show us rings that were 2x - 3x more in price, completely ignoring what we'd told them. They were extremely pushy, and when we said we would take some time to think about the options they'd given us, kept pushing for us to make a decision there & then. They told us the discounts they were offering us would expire at the end of the day, and made sure we knew we could pay it off over 24 months (something we weren't interested in). We left feeling like we were bulldozed and not listened to at all. It felt like the staff were only interested in the commission they would be getting. This experience was extremely off-putting, and it is unlikely we will ever step foot in another Michael Hill store again.

   After a horrible time with Pascoes service and them leaving my ring broken after resizing it, Michael Hill employees were kind, compassionate, and even repaired it for cheaper than Pascoes quoted me. I will be a loyal Michael Hill customer from now on! The employees here are absolutely lovely and enjoyable to chat with, and they actually care!

   I saw that they had a $400 gold bracelet advertised and when I walked in they acknowledged me and carried on talking. For over 30 years I've bought from your stores. Sometimes I browse and sometimes I buy but your indifference is unacceptable! Bad job by you two chatters!
