   I handed in two rings to be sent away for rhodium plating. I asked to receive a quote first, but was advised against it as it 'would take very long'. Janine then stipulated an amount, and assured me that if it was more than that, she would cover the excess. However, when I went to collect my rings, it was substantially more than the amount I was given. I actually had a cheaper quote somewhere else, but went with Molyneux because I was assured that it wouldn't be more than the stipulated amount. Even though I was given $20 off the eventual price, it was still $45 more expensive than what I would have paid at another jewellary store nearby. I wish I had insisted on a quote for the rhodium plating before handing in my rings - a few more days would not have made any difference. However, I have to add that the service at Molyneux is excellent. Janine is friendly, efficient, and very helpful.

   Brilliant. The most wonderful staff, helpful, honest, and caring. They did a beautiful job repairing my mother’s engagement ring which was quite damaged. Have used for several other things and always excellent. I highly recommend them. They are a manufacturing jewellers and can do repairs, and have some beautiful jewellery in store too. Well worth a visit.

   I came in to get a second opinion on some concerns I had about wear I was noticing on a very sentimental pendant necklace. It was complicated to do any work on it as it had my first dogs ashes in it but sadly due to a design flaw it wouldn't last as long as I needed it to without some changes. Despite Tracey not being the one to sell it to me or make it, and her never having met me before she went above and beyond to find a solution for me! She could see how important it was to me and found a very inventive and innovative fix that means I will have this peice forever. Would recomend her and her shop to anyone needing just about anything!

   My Mum wanted to get some new earrings whilst we were visiting Tauranga. The lady was super helpful and kind helping my Mum with choosing. Not the hugest variety of jewelry, however we liked it, as it's a bit more bespoke and unique compared to the chain jewelry stores. Definitely recommend a visit if you're after something that isn't in every other jewelry shop.

   Another splash of colour is this gorgeous jewellery shop. It continues to make an impact in a CBD with few retailers left. It’s here I found my beautiful piwaiwaka (fantail) necklace (and though not my cup of tea they have matching earrings!). The assistants really know their stuff, and are both helpful and discreet I.e. they’re there to advise but never push anyone to buy. My friends have all commented favourably on my necklace, a beautiful statement piece for a visitor to our shores or just a ‘hometown girl’ like me wanting to pay tribute to a beautiful little native bird.

   Walked in with a working digital watch that just needed the back to be reattached, thought they were nice enough to take a look for me, but it was returned to me with a broken LED panel. Owner was rude and refuse to accept any responsibility that it was damaged in their store. I took it to another store, they couldnt source the parts needed to fix it. Extremely heartbroken since it was a gift from my dad for many years and all the effort in being gentle with it only for it to be broken by someone else who wouldn't even apologize. - In response to the owner's reply, I'd like to put some clarifications on my own review: The watch display had no scratches when it was handed over to your staff, in your response you confirm this. The battery was replaced months before visit to your store with the watch fully operational - I still have the receipt. As you said, I only came into your store to have a look a the back of the watch, your staff attempted to fix it multiple times, even after saying you guys did not have the right equipment to do so, she still took it with her, did a short visit behind the divider wall then came back to inform me she was unable to help. I accepted that and was happy to look at other options but on the way out having a proper look at it, 30% of the display paint were scratched, and the LED numbers were partly faded. I went back to my office and asked my friend to come back with me due to my social anxieties which she tried to explain while I was overwhelmed having a good old meltdown in the middle of your store. Perhaps my crying and difficulty in breathing made it hard for you to hear the multiple times I tried to explain the damage - instead you kept denying any possibility of it happening in your store. Maybe if you had actually looked at the watch when we tried to show it to you perhaps you would have remembered it better. The LED panel was confirmed broken and irreplaceable due to the make and model of the watch by real professionals I had to visit after your store. My bad for thinking your store was a professional establishment and didn't think to question your lack of knowledge before giving my trust, and thank you for a terrible experience that will serve as a reminder of the kind of people I want to avoid.

   Service is friendly and helpful. Took in the wife's jade earring with a broken clip. Couldn't be fixed there as no same part available. Was offered to investigate if the part could be obtained elsewhere or provide alternatives.
