   My cousin was over from Denmark and she wanted to get a special tattoo that represented her kiwi mum who had passed away. Isaac greeted us warmly and was happy to take a walk in appointment, he was good with his communication and explained he was an apprentice. My cousin was very impressed with how professional he was and how he really listened to what she wanted. She was very nervous as the last time she had a tattoo was 15years ago, but he made her feel very comfortable and relaxed. She loved the tattoo so much and was very happy that the next day she went back for another tattoo. We were very impressed with him and will be recommending him to others.

   If I could write a 10 star review I would!!! Everyone in the tattoo shop is absolutely lovely. So friendly, so welcoming. Came in early, sat and chatted with all of the staff, have absolutely nothing but good things to say about everyone. Trista did an amazing job on my tattoo, came in with a loose idea and she created the rest of the design of Cathedral cove with a few added touches of my own serenity, palm trees etc. If anyone ever needs a tattoo shop to go to, I cannot recommend Flax Roots Tattoos enough!! Can’t wait to go back and get another one from them.

   Josie did such a phenomenal job working on my biggest tattoo piece (so far!) and words aren’t enough to describe how happy and in love I am with it. She’s incredibly skilled and talented! I also really loved getting tattooed here, especially how comfortable the staff made me feel. A full day went by so quickly - it was like spending time with your best mates!! Thank you Josie and team!! :-)
