   During our recent visit, I checked previous reviews and realized that this playground was just recently renovated. I’m excited to share some photos of the new playground, which looks awesome. The renovation has added a wide variety of play equipment, making it a perfect spot for children of all ages. The playground includes not only the slides and variety swings but also a sand pit, water pipes for exploration, and other interactive elements. There’s truly something for every child to enjoy. Situated right next to the ocean, the playground offers stunning views, especially at dawn, creating a picturesque setting for both play and relaxation. A fish and chip shop nearby is an added bonus, providing a convenient spot to grab a delicious meal after some energetic playtime. The playground's location near the town center makes it easily accessible, and you can combine a visit here with other activities in town. One of the highlights for my son was watching the train pass by. The sight and sound of the train added an extra layer of excitement to our visit. The playground's thoughtful design and variety of equipment, coupled with its beautiful oceanfront location, make it a must-visit destination for families. We highly recommend it!

   The upgrades to the waterfront are awesome. From the Hairy Maclary feature, to the wharf with music softly playing from below. Perfect area for all the show your manu skills! Great place to chill out in the morning as the sun rises.

   Great place. Had so much fun with the Grandkids ❤️. They loved the park the digger the fountain. Only problem was finding parking. Even our Airforce showed up and gave us a great display with the Black Falcons.

   Great views of the Railway Bridge in the distance. Waterworld Waterpark Tauranga is set up near the water's edge. A nice stroll along the waterfront to relax or enjoy a meal at The Strand. I saw plenty of young daring kids jumping off the pier/pontoon. Playground and toilets nearby also

   Friendly and gentle, with an excellent array of eateries. There is even a train track with working trains passing through! Great playground and regular events.

   Cool spot for kids, the hairy maclary statues are nearby, there is a well stocked playground here with slides, a digger, swings, climbing frame and a wet-play area for little ones. For bigger kids there is the waterworld waterpark-thing: a series of inflatable islands/towers/bridges/etc in the water that you can play on for a fee under the supervision of the waterworld employees. You can also just jump off the pier into the water and swim for free but watch out for the currents. There's also a railway line (well fenced off) running right though so you might get lucky and have a train go past to gawk at.
