   Very Bad customer service. Not recommended to buy this stores. Bought a seiko watch a brand new they gave me a second hand one , making you to tricks to wear it so that the warranty will be voided.

   Hello, I am very disappointed at the lack of service I received today from the staff at Michael Hill Te Awa. I went in there looking for options for gold diamond encrusted wedding bands for mine & my husbands anniversary. After walking it at approx 12.20pm with a baby pram I waited and no one greeted me. There was one person to the right side of me at the counter. No greeting. I then kept walking and looking in the cabinet area to the back of the shop where a lady was talking to another couple. After waiting with still no greeting from anyone, the couple was finishing up and I walked around to the left of them. Once the lady stopped serving them, I waited. She walked past me 2 or 3 times while I was still looking at the diamond band area and did not say Hi or even acknowledge me, then walked away. I then walked past that area and to the separate cabinet at the front of the shop near the entrance, finally noticing that someone was coming towards me (I think it was the same lady that walked past me multiple times) ...only for her to then walk past me and greet another elderly couple and serve them. I left and went to another jewellery store. I felt judged and racially profiled by your staff, and if this is how they are trained then I suggest you look into your staff training for future. Disappointing MHJ.

   Today me and my fiance were served by Savita while looking for wedding bands. Savita takes a very pushy approach to sales. When we told her we just wanted a quote to take away and think about, she repeated multiple times that we should buy as soon as possible and said we wouldn’t get a good deal if we didn’t buy today. I asked again for a quote and she wouldn’t give me one to take away. She simply verbally gave me a price range and said again that she could do it cheaper if we bought today. We both found rings we really liked at this store but chose to take photos and go to another Michael hill to purchase where we didn’t feel pressured and only valued if we were going to pay. She also pushed us becoming a Gem visa member multiple times even after we said we don’t want to sign up to any credit cards. The rings were lovely by Savitas pushiness and lack of value for customers made this a negative experience.

   Staff here come at you too quickly and are pushy with a sale. They don't understand what you are after and will go on about a care package michael hill offers and trying to push that when I didn't even make a decision on anything. I won't be coming back to this store in a hurry for this reason.

   Waste of time go to get my rings checked apparently can't do it because I brought in late November 2021 had them checked in August because of covid and living rurally which was absolutely fine with Gisborne Michael hill then due again to check in February like it says on my paper lady tells me I should have atleast done it 3-4 times already sick of dealing with Michael hill regret buying from you guys at all
