   Keana was a fantastic host, very prompt service, very knowledgeable about the menu. Had the Dixie chicken and the Johnny stash, both were amazing, we were too full and had to take some home. 10/10 will be a returning customer

   Thank you so much to the team at Lone Star Papanui. We came in on 05 August to celebrate my mums birthday with our parents and siblings. They were amazing and so accomodating! At the end of the lunch they even gave our nephew a lone star t shirt which was so cool! Thank you to the team that was on that afternoon/morning. I’ll attach a video so you can see the team that was on! They were excellent! Hope they get a well deserved raise at some stage!

   We were served by Raj, the service was amazing! The lunch we had was 3x Star Burger meals and the Quesadilla. We asked for the Quesadilla to be dialed down heat wise and the chef came through. The burgers were succulently juicy and fries were super crisp. All went nicely with Mountain Dew. Great work team, a special treat for a family member before we depart overseas

   Absolutely disgusting meals tonight. First of all our drinks were extremely flat and the beers from the tap tasted like the lines were well overdue for a clean and flush. These were delivered to our table a hell of a lot quicker than our meals. We waited for at least 40 minutes from when our drinks were delivered to our table before I gave up on our meals being delivered without having to ask where they were so I pressed the buzzer. The waitress came and said she would ask in less than 5 minutes we had our first meal come out, then 2 more, then the next this was for 4 adults then finally after we had started eating the last meal came out the kids ribs which should have been the first one out( I know how this should have gone as I waitressed for over 15 years). Our pork bellies were dry as anything one was cold and they were both extremely tough. The nachos had no flavour and the adults ribs were extremely fatty with huge clumps of fat. Turns out the only one happy with their meal was the kid who had to wait for ages for his meal probably because they had forgotten to make his and it hadn’t sat under the heat lamp for ages.

   Food was amazing as always, Dixie Chicken is my fave. The night we dined they had 2 for 1 Margaritaz yuummm. Great to have the service button too, every time we pushed the button someone showed up not long after. Nice place and atmosphere.

   Wow! That is all I can say. I came in last week for dinner with my family and it was already quite busy, was seated quickly and in a nice part of the restaurant. The service my family and I received from both Fran & Meg was impeccable. We were treated like the only table in the place, even though it was getting pretty full. Honestly the best dinner outing we've had in quite a long time!!

   Came to Lone Star after another place failed us with a dinner. Got a Gerhard Burger with fries. The burger was nice, could have been hotter temperature wise, but was ok. Fries good as expected. Staff opened with apologies for a limited menu, which was very considerate. Over all a pleasant experience.

   Had a great visit today. Tried the "New Porker" and it was delicious. Kids meals are great value. Staff are really kind and helpful, it's a fabulous Lone Star! I have been visiting this restaurant since I moved to Chch in 2011 and it never disappoints.
