When checking the amenities it said laundry, however it didn't state that washing machine + dryer was an extra $5. Maybe put that in the description please.
Weβve been regulars at Rainbow Motel, but this time was incredibly disappointing. The new staff member was rude and unhelpful, constantly locking the lounge area so we couldnβt relax or eat comfortably. We even had to eat outside or upstairs. To top it off, she was brushing her teeth in the kitchen while we were cooking and eatingβtotally unhygienic and unacceptable. Itβs a shame because weβve always liked staying here, but this experience has put us off completely.
The worst experience ever in Nz. Slept along with a cockroach family with a shitty spring bed. Haven't sleep whole night. Please do not go to these people for accommodation rather sleep in car. Its like wrong turn 2 movie
The motel was not as Good as I was made to believe.room was only clean to a 2/5 as very dusty.. room took awhile to heat. Cockroach call on my pillow in the morning trying to make home in ear.. then another one had joined me for tea. Have videos as proof but can't upload..
A very convenient location opposite Gate Pa shopping center in Tauranga, the staff was really helpful, and friendly. They even went to the extent of accommodating my son for no extra cost even though his booking wasn't there, as he turned up last minute to attend the Jazz festival. The place is a bit old, but the location is just so convenient. Would definitely stay there again..
I stayed here for a week. The room was a reasonable price and had everything needed. Stove/fridge etc worked fine and the best was comfortable. Staff friendly, good location. I would stay here again.
Very poor the room was unsafe window had no latch ;sliding door didnt slide proberly and wanted you to lock bought at night. Fridge was on floor and mirowave on top had to get on knee to get things out .plugs didnt work. And we had to share kitchen which was to unclean to cook and had to buy meal across road. And no smoke or sprinklers .spoke to owner and said they had a cheek to charge 114.90 per night and should ask pay or money back. Also room very small and hot had a standed fan but just pushing hot air around. When taking shower air in pipes making loud noisers.office and hallway cluttered with linen bike cleaner etc have photos .never will go back and will pass on to other people.
This is an older motel and not much in the way of modern facilities. It is handy to shops and public transport. Rooms are tidy and there is off street parking. You do get what you pay for, so if you want more luxurious surroundings you will need to look elsewhere and pay for it. Staff are friendly and helpful. The walls are wooden, so expect to hear people moving about.
Thought we were booking a self contained unit which was offered at 30% discount on the regular tariff. We were stunned to arrive and discover that we would only have a bedroom and would need to share kitchen and bathroom facilities with other guests. However, the staff were extremely helpful. Feel that the website is very misleading.
We wanted upgrade as soon as we arrived. We changed our checkout day 2 or 3 times. The people running the place were amazing. Very helpful and always smiling no matter what we chucked at them. Rooms were basic, had the usual tv fridge and electric blankets
