The room was clean but very run down. Windows had latches that did not close properly so was a bit of a security problem. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Very basic with minimal utensils for cooking etc. Has a stove which is great if you want to eat in. Reasonable price for what it is.
Kitchen I'll equiped_no chopping board,no frying pan.no salt and pepper.Nothing to clean saucepans wirh .Rt front element on stove didn't work Extractor fan didn't work .ONLY 1 door between toilet and kitchen.I don,t think this would pass council by laws. Scruffy tatty wall in toilet.If we had not felt so tired when we arrived we would have moved on. On the positive side it had a lovely couch.
Great value for money. The motel was full the night we stayed and was perfectly quiet. The unit and the bedding were clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly. I note that one or two people complained of low water pressure but the water from our taps and shower was a good pressure and hot. The decor was a bit tired but the remedy for those who might find that an issue is easy: go somewhere more expensive. We will definitely return to Manhattan Lodge.
Lovely manager, close to Hamilton Gardens, and on a road with many other services. Instant coffee, tea, and sugar are provided as well as bar soap and shampoo for the shower. The water pressure is quite low, but it was enough to get washed. The wifi was good, though on my first day there, it had problems and had to be reset. The yard is a bit run down, but it's not like you have to spend time there, unless you want to sit outside the room at the table and chairs provided and stare at the adjacent fence. I don't watch TV, but Sky is available.
Shower water is throttled to give out water at rate of 1 littler per minute. One modem rated at bandwidth of 48 Mbs to shared between 20 people. There are rooms without heater. Cockroaches are avaiable too. Other than the manager being friendly to deny all the other problems this place have, thats about all the good things about this place. Would. Never. Return.
