Worst bed I've had in a hostel in nz Springs digging In, more comfortable sleeping on the couch or rocks tbh Not dirty but not clean, not. Enough kitchen space Says free parking but only spaces at the hostel itself
Great stuff, efficient helpful and patient! Hostel located no far from the city center and Botanical Garden, few minute walks from Hagley Park and bus stop for get to the airport. Nice backyard and useful kitchen, clean hostel if you are respectful. Improving suggestion for the owner: improve the air ventilations in some rooms, replace some old mattresses as you can fell the springs in your back, provide some free basic welcome stuff like, tea sugar and coffee, work on the gardan as it could has bigger potentiality. Overall.. High finger!!
It is OK for a couple of nights. Too many rules. Wi-Fi is limited per day. Shared Rooms too hot. Personal is mostly friendly. Mostly. Private was too cold. We Had to use our own sleeping bags. Cheaper than others, but I don't think it is worth the difference.
This place is super stingy. They provide the absolute bare minimum and charge extra for everything including a ridiculous 5% surcharge on credit cards. Want to put your luggage away? That costs extra. Want to wait for your flight in the common room? That costs extra. Apart from that the place feels homely and is clean. The area isn't great though, with not much nearby.
Cozy hostel. Rooms are comfy and spacious. The facilities are being cleaned daily. The kitchen is well equipped with multiple stoves and an oven. The garden is a nice place to hang out on a sunny day.
I love this hostel! It truly has been a home away from home for me. Met wonderful people from all over the world and had the best time in the hostel. Nice garden for relaxing or having a BBQ. Homely and cosy place with helpful and friendly staff. Well equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, noticeboard for jobs and car sale, free wifi, everything you need as a backpacker. Hope to come back one day!
