   Every single time I come to this Starbucks they always manage to make me the most watery frappes I’ve ever had. Also, the customer service? The male staff in particular are so damn unfriendly I don’t even bother ordering when I see them working!

   Hi Starbucks operators , i usually stop in Hamilton for coffee on my way through so visited the Te Rapa site for the first time. In the end I decided against ordering a coffee given the apparent price/value proposition. The equivalent of what I guess would be a medium size seemed costly comparatively. I placed my order as the server confirmed that they definitely offered a BYO keep-cup discount, yet when the charge appeared on the display it was at full price. Upon questioning this i was advised that no in fact there isn’t a discount offered for keep cups. As feedback, as a regular takeout cafe patron, this is a deal breaker for me. I often buy coffee to go at Z servo sites (not necessarily stopping for petrol - often a coffee destination stop) as I find the value- proposition solid: very good coffee at competitive rate card plus a 50cent keep cup discount - i believe their med flat white is $5.60 less 50c cup discount netting out at $5.10 i.e $1.50 cheaper that the 6.60 would have paid at Starbucks today. I also get points at Z (I appreciate Starbucks offers rewards - unbeknownst to me but they’d have to be exceptional to offset the aforementioned $1.50 premium. thank you.

   Starbuck definitely doesn’t encourage customers to linger. Their seating looks good but is very uncomfortable and the tables are either too low or too high. I circulated them all. The round seats are too small, too low and too firm. The long blue ones are uncomfortably firm - and although the long green ones are a little bit softer (not soft) there is no back support. This is not a place to take time out to relax

   It’s my birthday so we went out to get a bit of a coffee treat. I am so home sick I asked to go to Starbucks. It’s so expensive in New Zealand compared to the Philippines so you end up going only on special occasions. Anyway, we got Triple Choco Muffin, Espresso Caramel Frap and a double shot Flat White. The frap was ok and took me back home in a minute. The flat white can do with a bit of an improvement. It wasn’t as strong as my partner expected it nor as hot. I asked him to go and have it changed as I would normally do that back home but he is too much of a Kiwi to do so (meaning can’t be bothered.. admirable to be honest). The muffin is ok, soft and moist. The ambiance can be a bit better too. Some tables were not busked so you’re not sure id someone’s still using it or not. Compared to where they were before (upstairs) it feels this store is meant for take out. Not conducive to being “your 3rd home”.

   Was really nice to get out an enjoy some time with family enjoying there new hocky pokie drink n there yummy food. Staff were friendly and wasn't to much of a wait for drinks and food to be ready.

   Friendly staff and lovely new premises:) My daughter bought a yummy mango frappacino that was well made. Only downside…it was expensive! $8! And not that big for that price either. It will definitely only be an occasional treat.
