   After booking in for a simple W.O.F., my keys were damaged beyond repair by one of the staff. The garage denied any wrongdoing and was very unpleasant to deal with, claiming '"these things happen, we can't be responsible for old keys." I was compensated for 1/5th of the replacement cost but never once did they apologize or provide insight into the damages. Edit: In response to the response by the owners, this kind of attitude towards personal property is exactly why the review was left in the first place.

   I've been looking for a go to mechanics since I moved to hamilton a few years ago. My car broke down and needed urgent work. The staff at wally elders have been nothing short of amazing, very fast and helpful and cost effective They contacted me before doing anything which has been a downfall with mechanics in the past. Will definitely be using this service for here on out.

   Use this place for getting work vehicle tyres done. Great place, really efficient, fast and knowledgeable. Staff are really nice, always up for a good yarn. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for a great & friendly tyre centre.

   I went in for a standard WOF, that failed and meant the car needed some work done. After being quoted $450ish (an already high amount for the required work) on the phone, I turned up and was charged $680 as the quote on the phone didn't include labour and the WOF, they claimed. I would be extremely cautious about getting any work done at this garage due to them not providing written quotes and there inability to follow through on verbal quotes. This experience left me extremely disappointed in their service and through my experience I would suggest to go elsewhere. If I could put no stars for the rating I would have.

   Very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Showed up after an officer gave me a warning on my WoF, and tried to get me certified at 4pm. When there were issues that needed fixing, They booked me in and gave me appropriate documents so I wouldn't get in trouble on my drive to Auckland for Father's Day. Will most likely go to them for future work and WoFs.

   I have been taking my cars there for over a year now. I have been very happy with the service. I bought a used car about a year ago, which started stalling shortly after purchase. We had to try a couple of things before the problem was found. Throughout that whole process, the mechanics were happy to spend time talking with me about the problem, explaining aspects that I didn't understand, discussing the various options I had and what they thought the best course of action was. They are very responsive and proactive; they send me a text when my car is ready for pickup and reminder notices when my WOF is due. Very happy with the service!
