Stopped here to have a 0.0% Corona non-alcoholic beer but they don't serve them here only Heineken expensive $9 a stubble poor service not a very polite staff member at all would go back there again
Bar manager was friendly, quiet Wednesday night - food was tasty but could be hotter :)
Received dirty looks from staff the moment my group walked in, we then sat quietly and waited for the rest of our group. While waiting we were singled out for a random ID check despite not even having gone up to order and there being childern on the premises. None of the members of our group were under aged. Pretty gross feeling being singles out and stared at by staff. Certainly would not recommend and will definitely not be going back.
More is the pity that there are not more people trying their burgers. For $20 show me something better in town. And you did it again today as a birthday treat. Thank you.
I am extremely disappointed at whoever manages and owns this tavern as it has a gaming room but you think that you can tell me the pokies shut by 10:17? Is your business experience valid. You are losing more business and you are upsetting customers. I will happily say that I am never coming back here again. What a waste of time.

The Greeting Staff put a Smile on my Day Upon Arrival...Where Te Korero was Heard... Tumeke Alright ...And that Familiar O'le Ambience of the Hillcrest Tavern was Present and Felt (Just missing the Big Garden bar that Once was) and that Tapped Brown Liquid Gold Enjoyed by All Living in the Now...Mauriora...TO THE HILLY...ILL BE BACK FOR JUST ONE MORE...hehe
Ive been drinking at the Hilly for 21 years now and this will always be my local. Started drinking in my first year of University, had my 21st beer here at the front. Made some life long friends and had heaps of good times here. A very warm welcome to the Easty locals (2022). Love the staff, love the people and obviously love the beer haha
