Fine eating and drinking establishment. The beer was cold and yummy. The food was delicious. We ate late and the kitchen was still open and service was spot on. Three BBB thumbs up!! There was a group of people playing trivia night games with an MC. All lots of fun.
My food was amazing,.. from the cocktail to my sirloin steak meal. The mushroom sauce is to die for made my entire meal soo scrums. Medium steak is what I asked for and was exactly what I got. The gingerbeer drink is also a must try" haven't had that type of fresh and crispy drink anywhere but here. Be primo for the hot days ahead..... I wish I could steel the recipe for home lol
This is the pub of choice for watching sport. The pub has a good inviting atmosphere and staff are super friendly and efficient. The food is fantastic as we've tried a range of dinner and desserts. Plenty of room to pick a table and most often it doesn't get rowdy like some other places. Its kind of a fun "family atmosphere" on game nights.
Great English Pub. Went there two nights in a row and great both times. Had bangers and mash first night and ham steak second night. Apple pie for desert both nights whi ch was awesome. Try the apple pie and thank me later. Service fast and friendly and food really good. Bonus of good music. Will be going back next time in Hamilton. Cheers!
We came on Thursday night and it was quiz night. Londoner is a good place to go for that classic English pub grub (as I was told ☺️. Had to ask my Kiwi partner who have lived and travelled to the UK for a bit what makes this place great.) My own personal take: - chicken, avocado salad was a good way to refresh your palette - the hotpot pie was good and it slightly reminded me of a Filipino dish called pares. You can come here for those special occasion but do not want an uptight atmosphere and just want to hang out casually.
I like the BLT with a ginger bear. We normally have a large group and get together for meetings. Great place with parking up front. Also try the pie and chicken wigs good for great people
Great place to unwind and grab a couple of beers. Guinness draught finally! Great ambience and location.
09/05/2023 The food was ok, not the best for the price. Female bar staff was unfriendly, didn’t smile once, took food order with attitude, took empty plate away without so much as a ‘ how was your meal ‘ or would you like anything else. Not a place I would go to again or recommend.
The staff are awesome and friendly. The food is filling, yummy and goes with the English pub theme. Good selection of beer. They will often have specials for St Patrick’s day which is fun. A good place for a comfort lunch with work mates too on a winters day. Nothing like their pot pie and mash. One of few places in town to have Guinness on tap as well.
