Honestly the worst food I've ever eaten in Tauranga. I would not spend a dollar here again and if you're craving raw fish definitely make the trip to town because this taste like off fish and pepper. The muscles tasted like urine. I'm warning you don't go to this store not to mention customer service was ignorant.
A wonderful takeaway with the usual menu. A happy atmosphere and the locals say good things about it
Dunno where all these reviews are coming from saying this place is good, a feed for two was $50 an its all gross, Tarakihi although a big peice stinks an tastes like curry and the Hawaiian burger has a slice of luncheon in it for a patty an a solid slice of onion extremely dissapointing for the inflated price, visted a few months ago and had similar experience. Will not be returning
Place has gone downhill so much. Used to come here years ago was passing by so got a meal. Communicating was difficult, chips tasted like oil hasn't been changed in a long time and burgers were very dissapointing Won't be going back here again.
Got fish n chips, fish wasn't fresh at all very disappointed had been there before and fish n chips were fresh and nicely cooked.
Wow, what a great fish and chip shop. Love this place. We’d had a hard morning climbing Mount Maunganui and needed a tasty lunch fast so we ordered ahead on our way home. We grabbed a range of things. Fish, chips, mussels, curry roll, scallops and potato fritters. We also bought some fresh green lipped mussels to steam later. The fish and chips were spectacularly good. The fish was off the scale excellent. Fresh trevally cooked superbly in batter. Not small pieces either, large thick ones replete with beautiful moisture and in a lovely batter. Best fish I’ve ever had from a local fish and chip shop. Just fantastic. Everything else was great too, particularly the potato fritters. Service was lovely here as well. The cost of the meal was just so cheap too. Just over $50 for five people. I so wish this place was my local.
