New ownership has kept this special spot alive and very well looked after. The veggie Japanese curry & the tofu poke bowl are amazing. Chips are worth a hoon too, 10/10. Cheers team.
We have been coming here since it was called Head Loco. The owner has changed, but we still enjoy the fish&chips and sweet&sour pork here. The service is always friendly, and we love being able to have freshly fried fish and chips so close to home.
Ordered uber eats expecting dumpling soup. Why was the broth red ish purple and inside the dumplings pink? I did not even want to try it as it was too risky looking, not to mention the dumplings were breaking apart. The bag was covered in grease and sounded like there was crumbs in it or something. So disappointed
Really nice place! Super friendly staff, big coffee portions (both iced and hot!), and tasty food! Be sure to check this place out and support the locals! You can do both take away and eat in the cafè
Best value lunch in Tauranga. Lunch special menu is superb. Coffee excellent.
1# Teraki chicken donburi is legit number 1, and the rice is on point. Every part of the dish was delightful. I can't wait to try more of the menu.
Highly recommend!!! Super clean, great & reasonable prices, great quality food and decent portion sizes. Lovely Japanese owners and staff, super hospitable and just honestly made my day. Modern design inside, comfy seating inside and outside, good for dine in & take out. Stopped here for a quick snack, got a pack of 10 crispy chicken sushi & a berry flavoured real-ice-cream in a waffle cone. Sooo yuuumm!! - Waffle cone was so fresh, berry ice cream was delish! - Sushi was so fresh and well made, great flavour, chicken was soo good, not dry, and the slices were huge!! Was a full on meal lol Will 100% be visiting again when I'm back in the area for sure!
New owners who are stepping up the quality. There special prawn dish is amazing! They also introduced authentic mocha bubble tea (very Japanese and very yummy). If you are after kiwi food, they have you covered with their cheesy wheezy dish.
