I highly recommend Tandoori Chambers. I have eaten both lunches and dinners at Tandoori Chambers. Their prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get and the food is delicious. I have tried multiple curries there and they have all been great. They provide a lovely service and the wait time is as expected.
Lovely evening last night at Tandoori Chambers with brother and sister-in-law. Good food and great staff especially the young man who was our waiter. My wife has Coeliac disease and has to be gluten free. He made sure she knew what was in the dishes she wanted to order and provided an excellent list of ingredients for everything which was a great idea. BYO was great as we could have our own wine plus get their beers.
Food is nice, but poor value. Only 5 pieces of meat in each dish and we bought 6 meals. Service had no idea of what portions were in the side dishes and our order got delayed by some mystery group arrival which was nowhere to be seen when we arrived to pick up
Great service thanks team and food was all great and had perfect flavours. Place huge so plenty of room. Cold beers to top off a great date night
Edited to add a recent experience and amend the 'stars': i love to support local businesses, but unfortunately our last 2 orders for takeaway have been well below standard which has been very disappointing. Perhaps a change of management or chef. Sauces now appear watered down, and in our curries, we had 4 pieces/cubes of chicken and 5 in the other. I cannot justify paying good money for the equivalent of maaaybe 1/3 of a chicken breast worth of meat. We now opt to drive to paeroa for our curry fix! Original review:Our go-to takeout locally, and somewhere we happily take visiting friends and family. Great food, excellent value. Dining in is lovely, the restaurant space is bright, clean and the staff are quick and attentive. This would be a great space for a private function too. They have a full licensed bar and offer home delivery for online orders. If you're visiting the restaurant there is also really cool history to the building as is hinted at in the name, this is the original Waihi Borough Council Chambers building. Many of the original features remain including the original vault (which you can see from the main bar) and the mayor's meeting table (which is the curved table in the main dining room), just to name a few. Highly recommend checking it out!
We stop regularly for lunch on our way from Coromandel to the Bay of Plenty . At $ 25 for two very good value for money
Kings Birthday Saturday, and we were the only ones dining in at 8.20pm. Service was friendly, restaurant was clean and professional, food was simply amazing. We tried each other's dishes and wow it was good. Rice was perfect, and garlic Naan top notch. Make an effort to go. We'll worth your time.
