   The food is nice how ever its over priced more expensive then Indian restaurants in Sydney NSW. I got a curry, rice, naan bread with drink all cost $32. The naan bread was very small. I think a fair market price would have been $18 definitely not $32

   The food, sevice and atmosphere were lovely. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meals, price and service. The staff who served were very helpful and friendly. Overall a thoroughly good experience.

   I often eat Indian (vegetarian) when I travel. This was by far the most expensive and underwhelming ever. The food is too salty (never had that before) and the extra $5 for the rice on top of the already higher price than normal makes this a "not going back there" place. I pay less in Auckland (which is notorious for its high prices) and get much better taste. The atmosphere was OK, as was the guy's service though.

   We went on a very quiet Thursday night - which, is a real shame. We were the only eat in diners and there were four takeaway collects in the hour and half that we were there. We all need to get out and support our local restaurants or lose them! The food was excellent. We started by sharing a mixed vegetable platter which was piping hot at the table, and the coating was crispy thin - the Paneer was particularly delicious. For the mains her in charge went with the lamb and I had the Chicken cooked indian hot both with a garlic naan. Really liked the portion size and the fact that the spices in the dishes had been properly cooked and both the meats were melt in the mouth. Overall we enjoyed our visit and taste of well presented indian foods. A definite in our repeat calendar.

   hi rachel here i dont understand all these comments on here i just had a meal and it was just amazing makes me wonder if these bad comment actually had a meal there because my meal was just sooooo good and the service is over and above so friendly and honest....make me angry to see these other comments its the best indian food in town always have a 5 star comment from me....thank you manju your amazing

   I use to love this place. Wanted 2 cheese and garlic naans to fill me up after my meal at home. Was told it's a 30 minute wait. Facebook page menu photo says $4&$5 so $9. Went to pick it up, charged me $15.50. Waited a long time, got my naans home and was curious about the weight because they were very light. 68 grams each! They were not cooked through either, tasted like yeasty dough. The service was unpleasant too. I won't be going here again.

   Really not that impressed, we used to live closer and be regulars. Decided pick some up On our way through tonight and I got my usual order. When I got home we have 1/2 the amount of rice as usual and literally 8 bits of chicken in the whole thing. I basically got a butter chicken flavoured soup. And $51 later. It is tasty but just really disappointing on the quantity for the price. Wouldn’t go back again.

   Okay so I go and place an order. The sweet little girl behind the counter clearly out of her depth, but doing her best processed the order. She's pleasant and polite. Some rather rude bit*h that was too interested in texting on her phone as I walked in, delivered my drink and said "She made a mistake so you owe us $3" I'm like okay. As the meal was delivered I asked for the receipt for what I have paid for? "Humm yes later" the girl responds So I order another drink and asked for the receipt again and the answer was "Yes later at the end" I'm like nah I'd like to sort it out now please print out what I have paid for so I can pay for what I need to. The lady owner took massive offence and kicked me out before I could finish my meal and drink. She demanded that I paid before I left to which I responded with "okay but I want to finish my meal first". She called 111 and walked next door to the police which I was following to let them know my side of the story. 100 meters down the road the Talisman restaurant was so busy that it was going to take 45mins for a meal, hence why I wanted to find somewhere else. BIG MISTAKE! Just go there and relax it's amazing food! Food =2 maximum I've had better packet meals from the supermarket Ambiance =1 Service =1 and that's just for the little girl that took my order Recommendation is DON'T GO HERE!!!!!

   I've been to a lot of indian shops in the Bay of Plenty. I used to work at a couple that imported their chefs from India. I've sat in the Gurdwara and enjoyed the finest lungar. I know what authentic Indian cuisine should taste like. I've been here a few times and tried a few different meals. The kormas are a funny colour and did not taste like cashew nut gravy. The buttered chicken and paneer are overly sweet and do not taste tomato based. Most of the mains are off in flavour, texture, and colour and are not really worth mentioning in a delightful way. The appertisers are good, the vege' samosas are nice, the restaurant is clean and has a comforting vibe'. Customer service, well... Is customer service. Professionalism is more needed by their waiters. The menu on their facebook page is misleading. In regards to the menu and quality food you can buy. They are slightly over priced.
