Fabulous original Italian pizza presented by a bunch of lovely Italians. Great selection of pizza and sooo yummy. Thin crust, great topping. Very Italian and a welcome alternative to the American pizza style that is standardly sold in NZ. Will def. Come back when in the area!
We have been on a holiday in NZ for the past 3 weeks and this was the best meal we have had so far. We ordered garlic bread, Margherita pizza, Hawaiian pizza, French fries and Tiramisu. The food was absolutely beautiful and was made so fast. The French fries were cooked perfectly. There was nothing left on any of our plates when we left. The Tiramisu was the best Iβve ever had! We will be back βΊοΈ
Good pizza is really hard to find in the Bay and we stumbled upon Basilico because itβs one of the few restaurants I pass on my drive home. Wow, wow and wow! These guys make amazing pizzas and easily the best in the Bay. Iβve been back 5 times now and theyβve nailed it every time. Truffle fries and tiramisu are also great and the guys who run it are super friendly.
A little piece of Italia, absolutely delicious pizza, well priced and friendly staff, we will definitely be back!
The pizza looks and tastes greatβgood quality ingredients and the dough is really nice. My only gripe is with the special one that has prosciutto. It could definitely use a bit more of it. When I see prosciutto on the menu, I usually expect it to be the star of the show, especially at that price. I figured thereβd be at least a couple of decent slices, but it was pretty hard to find. Still, overall, itβs a good pizza, especially for the area.
Me and my father sent here yesterday and It was an amazing experience. The owner was very friendly and patient while we ordered, and he even gave us a slice of mortadela because we didn't know how it tasted like. Pizza ranges from around 25 - 30, and for the quality and size, it's basically a steal! The pizza itself is amazing, it's cooked in a wood and gas pizza oven in front of you, and the best part is that it comes out in minutes! I cannot explain the sheer overall amazingness of this place with text only so I HEAVILY recommend you eat here. You won't regret it and you WILL come back. The desserts were a bit bitter for my taste but they were good aside for that.
Super delicious authentic Italian Pizza and the BEST tiramisu. Great service. Vegetarian/vegan options too. 100% recommend, you will not regret.

Best Pizza in New Zealand! All the raw materials come from Italy even including the burning woods. The prosciutto tasted fresh and much better than the one imported from Italy which you could find in New World supermarket. The food, the owner and the chef- Michele are 100% Italy. Definitely a place must go!
