Got the $45pp sharing plates and a carafe, the girl serving was super friendly, the food was served in 3 parts, and the first plates were fast, and the timing after for plates was on point, the food was delicious and the right amount, was an enjoyable experience that I do recommend
My partner and I recently visited Mexico Hamilton, and sadly, our experience was disappointing. While the service was genuinely good, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food didn’t meet expectations. The chicken and beef dishes were quite dry, lacked seasoning, and didn’t have much flavour. The churros were slightly burnt, which took away from the dessert experience. We ordered the $45 deal for two, but the total came to $90, which wasn’t clearly communicated and left us confused and frustrated. For the price, the portion sizes were quite small, and overall, it didn’t feel like good value. Although we still ate everything because we didn’t want to waste food, it left both of us feeling quite off afterwards, full, but not in a satisfying way. It just wasn’t an enjoyable meal overall. We do appreciate the staff’s kindness and service, but unfortunately, the food quality and value made the experience disappointing. Hopefully, this feedback helps improve future visits for other customers.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here on a Friday evening in October 2025. We are from southern California, and are very familiar with Mexican food, and we were very impressed with the authentic flavors, high quality ingredients, and lovely presentation of the food. We enjoyed the adobe chicken quesadilla, birria (braised beef) taco, squid taco, guacamole, and horchata to drink. My wife has Celiac, and they were able to safely accommodate her need for gluten free food. Highly recommend.
Great taste of Mexican food, had a huge variety and lots of tacos. Drinks were refreshing margaritas and desserts were delish. Churro cheesecake and churros with de leche. Would definitely recommend the desserts!
We ordered a few things and they all tasted good. We finished our meals and were satisfied overall. We did order the beef nachos and received chicken which was sorted straight away and was appreciated. Overall good vibes!
I ordered the Degaustation for $25 expecting to get the normal serving of fried chicken, but only got 2 pieces of fried chicken. My friend got 3 tacos for $2 more and easily had double the amount of food I got. Honestly I felt a bit swindled. Will come back but will not take any chances on specials next time. EDIT: to respond to the owner, the taco was full sized, the drink was full sized, I expected the fried chicken to be full sized. It didn't say anything about it being a sampler in the advertisement. The meal was good, the staff were excellent, but please be clearer about the portion sizes if they are going to be 1/3rd of what people will be expecting.
Every dish was a taste delight. It's been a few years since we've been to Mexico, Hamilton. We won't wait so long before we visit again. Thanks team!
Very good mexican restaurant. Tasty food, quick service and reasonable price. We ordered 3 tacos (potato and chickpea masa, lamb pomegranate picada, beef cheek birria) and 1 quesadilla (braised achiote pork shoulder). The potatoe and chickpea masa was highlight for me. I did not like the lamb (but it was my partner's choice). The other two were good. Recommendable. Nice decor. (Visited Jan 23)
Ordered the Feed Me deal for two and boy oh boy did they deliver. Food coma. For 40$/person this was incredible value for money given the quantity of food, but staying true to good quality and fresh ingredients that keep the taste buds awake. All plates were outstanding, but the smokiness of the burnt onion crema with the esquitas came as a pleasant surprise. My only suggestion was that the food came out faster than we could finish it, cluttering the table somewhat. More importantly we probably still had 30 minutes of dinner munching while the ice cream that accompanied the chimichangas (added extra) was slowly melting. At least they remained crispy!
