   It was a wonderful morning at Zealong. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed an engaging introduction to Zealong’s history, followed by a tea tasting led by the amazing staff member, Toni, who shined with her exceptionally friendly personality! We felt truly welcomed and learned so much about the different aspects of tea. We enjoyed it immensely! The afternoon tea was also delightful, featuring a variety of tea blends paired with savory snacks. I would definitely recommend visiting Zealong with your loved ones if you are a tea drinker. High-quality teas are truly different — you can literally taste the difference. Lovely staff, breathtaking views of the tea farm, and an unforgettable experience overall. We’re so glad we made it to Zealong and had the chance to experience Zealong tea.

   Our daughter was visiting from Turkey, where she lives. Having visited before l, we felt it would be suitable farewell for her from us to experience a Zealong high tea. It was a great experience. Two of us had the delicious high tea and my husband had the green mussels. Each were equally delicious. Service was excellent. And both the location and atmosphere very relaxing. I highly recommend Zealong for a very special experience. M & R

   I had no idea this place existed just outside of Hamilton. Loved the service and the staff explained the different types of tea very well. Apparently the only place black tea grown and harvested in New Zealand. Went for a high tea with my boyfriend and we were quite happy. Such a zen place and delicious tea. Would definitely come back

   An amazing tea experience today. As a tourist who loves tea I would highly recommend this place. They have tea tasting 3 teas for $15. They also have a variety of teas, mostly oolong (their specialty) and black tea blends. There are also very nice tea pots and cups. The two ladies who helped us today were knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful. They explained how tea picking occurs as well as what makes each tea special. I would love to see a tea picking experience, that would be a great tourism boost for the place and could be done in a controlled way to ensure no contamination of the soil. Otherwise, I loved it today!

   High tea at a tea farm sounds like a great idea. Nice enviornment and place to sit outside. Friendly and attentive service. However for $76 a person it is too much for what you get compared to other places. They are definitely going for a high class experience, however giving the high tea experience something more would be good. The tea you get is a single flavour so no tea tasting experience (which would of been cool given there vast collection). Limited caffeine free options but that is tough for a green tea farm. The food was tasty, and well presented. Unclear if it was all made in house. There is a good amount per person.

   We had lunch at Zealong on a public holiday. It was an overcast day and they were still very busy. The staff there were all amazing - friendly, gentle and warm. We were seated outdoor with enclosed area and heaters all around if we do require. We had two children (7&9), but they did not have kids menu which was a bit disappointing. We ended up ordering a high tea for each of them. The lunch options were not suitable for the children. Food was great and the teas are a good compliment to our meals. Great presentation and good atmosphere here. Playground for the kids were sub-par, but I guess that’s not what Zealong’s main focus is.

   Lunch at Zealong. We started with the crayfish ravioli which was amazing. The surprise was to find piece of decent size crayfish underneath the ravioli. Usually it is done with a crayfish mousse encased inside the ravioli and the sauce is so amazing. Next we had baby lamb rack which as tender, moist and succulent cooked to your preference. Delicious. And again the sauce was amazing. Next we had the chocolate cake with sago which was an unusual combination but worked really well together. We also had the blood orange terrine which was wonderfully fresh and light. I would say that this lunch was of a very high standard and thoroughly enjoyable. The chef changes the menu often so it pays to go soon to try out the menu.

   Aromatic tea and outstandingly tasty food. The food is so well sauced that we ordered extra bread to enjoy without any leftovers. We would like to note our thanks to the chef. I would also highly recommend this restaurant to Japanese travellers who are not comfortable with English, as several of the staff have experience of staying in Japan. We were also surprised at how clean the tea garden was. There was not a single piece of plastic waste, which is common in tea plantations. This is completely different from tea gardens in China, where the taste is good but safety is not guaranteed at all. Among the teas, I particularly liked the pure oolong tea and the aromatic oolong tea. I bought some as souvenirs to take back to Japan and they were very well received by Japanese fans of Chinese tea.

   We enjoyed a pleasant and happy lunch with a wide tea field in front of us. I also liked the various sculptures on the theme of tea and the spacious resting area. The food was also really good. Weddings and events can be held here, so if you get a chance, please use it.
