This place has gone down hill.Management are accusing people of price changing and there are some that do.. But if they did there research and investigations , asked out back staff they would know they made a mistake. But falsely accused by management. That don't know what they are doing.Dont take any responsibility for there actions.Got it wrong. Took the item away and no investigation and said priced wrong. But you need to be accountable and communicate to staff properly. As this situation is unacceptable behaviour. No apology nothn.Wouldnt shop at this store again.Run by a person that does not not how to deal with situations properly and has issues.

Store is grossly over priced. Some categories are twice the price as what you would find in other stores. This is reflected in the overstocked shelves.

Really really over priced! A small, damaged side table that i wouldn't even pay $5 for was priced at $45!! I saw a white warehouse top i liked but was covered in yellow stains and they wanted $14! Weird store, i usually love st johns stores too ! Staff today were not friendly.

As a Rangiora resident who has given to St John for many years, I find it very disappointing to visit this shop and have to deal with the completely obnoxious manner of some of the staff. From now on I will be giving to other charities and spending my money elsewhere. I wonder if the ridiculous over pricing has anything to do with the fact that the store is overflowing? You would think that it would be more beneficial and less of a safety risk to price things realistically to keep them moving out the door instead of alienating the people who have provided you with goods over the years.

Worst op shop I've visited. Continually witness staff interactions wondering how can this be they don't have any manners and probably the manager setting this tone as she's to be avoided. I go only on her days off now as she terrify me. She's not shy to embarrass customers for ridiculous reason and the way she address her staff makes me so uncomfortable. She needs a course on how to communicate with customers and staff. There's no lack of selection and donations are always blocking the entryway, so I'm not sure the reasoning for high price. Their attitude towards this busy is remarkably not in the right place. I've often seens items price near, at or above new pricing. Not to forget I often seen broken items being sold for way too much. They need to review staff customer skills and pricing policy. Maybe one day when there's a change in management we'll get these issues sorted? In the meanwhile I'd advise to reduce the visit to minimum and try to make yourself invisible not to have any interaction with staff. Tho they seems to aways need to go through where you are and unapologetically walk by as if you're not there. Got a few that actually hurt me with no sorry or realizing what they did. When I go with my kids I don't leave them out of my reach in this one store to protect them against staff passing by or their unnecessary comments. I don't feel safe there.

This is the most expensive charity shop I've ever been too and the staff are the least friendly. They prefer to over stock (hoard) and have things sit in the shop for months with the expensive price. It's uneasy to hear the manager talk to the volunteer/staff and customers. She dry and I've witness her talking to patrons in very rude manners. They have enough donation to drop the price, have less clutter and have a better faster rotation of stock.

Always like looking around in op shops and when I go out to Rangiora this is one of the op shops I go. You can see and find very interesting things in the store. Lovely staff. Good to take the time to have a really good nose around.

Excellent store if you are looking for a big selection of 2nd hand goods - furniture, clothes, glassware and kitchenware, curtains, linen, photo frames and more.
