   I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING FROM THIS OUTFIT!!! Its a bit of a read but please be careful before purchasing anything. I purchased a handheld scanner off trademe from this company back in April this year for basically short of $400 when I received it and turned it on the screen would not display anything so I tracked down a phone number for this company and called them I explained what was going on and was simply told that's strange and to return it and they will send it back to uniden (the manufacturer). I returned it at my expense the following day on an overnight courier I contacted them the next day and they told me it hadn't arrived but my tracking details showed me it had arrived back to there address I was told they would keep me updated 7 days later I contacted them to ask for a update I was told it was sent back to me that day, I sent a reply asking what was wrong with it and what was done to it I was told this HI Dean, Im not sure what the problem was. Austen is away today on a jobsite. I will get him to reply as soon as he gets back in. Thanks, Nicole Calder I received the scanner back and never heard a word back from them. It was working. Even after placing negative feedback on trademe about there communication or lack of. 6 months later I pull the scanner out of the draw to use ( I havnt yet used it since purchased) and the screen is blank I rang them today and told them the problem and was again told that's strange send it back we will send it back to the manufacturer apparently the screen was replaced or something I explained i wasn't happy with paying another shipping fee to return it for them to send it to the manufacturer a second time at this point I would expect to get offered a replacement not keep trying to fix something that was clearly sold to me faulty . I asked when I called the first time if it couldn't be repaired what was the other options did they have more in stock and was told they had ordered more so as far as im concerned the company should be taking my scanner back giving me a brand new one and they dispute the faulty one with uniden not me. I told them I was not happy to pay another shipping fee back to them and was simply told well they only cover the shipping back to the manufacturer once was ok twice im not happy about I won't be returning it a second time I will leave this review and never shop here again. The lack of communication from this company is terrible and makes it extremely hard to do buisness with them. Thanks for your time reading my review.

   Great advice and assistance. Nice phone manner and in-person help. They had the the one part that no-one else locally had - saved me a trip into town. Didn't realise Calder/Jaycar were in Rangiora, will use them as first-point from now on.
