Often stop in for a coffee and sweet treat. The staff are always kind and friendly. Today tried the open souvlaki, which I enjoyed, and was a good size. Thickshake was so good! Good value for money.

Went for brunch today, had the loaded fries, well I would say unloaded fries. I think I counted about 8 pieces of ham and the cheese was non existent, hardly any sauce and the sour cream was not good (due to being under the heat lamp for so long), the fries were soggy, I watched our food get put out and it sat under the heat lamp for a good 10 mins before it was brought to our table. Our coffee came 10 mins after our meal. We waited nearly 30 mins for food, I know it labour weekend but really they should have been prepared for this and had more staff on, I felt so sorry for the young girl making coffee, not only was she making it she was delivering it to the tables, absolutely rushed off her feet. She was very apologetic about the wait when she came to the table. Very disappointed today.

Ordered coffee and the soup of the day. Coffee arrived quickly and was fine. After waiting over 20 minutes I had to ask what happened to the soup. Was meant to be pea and ham with garlic bread. Needed to scrape off probably two tablespoons of garlic mess from the bread. The soup was thin and tasteless. No sign of ham and appeared to be made with fresh peas? There were weird bits of pea skin throughout. Didn’t eat it and left in disgust. I won’t be returning.

Possibly the worst meal I have ever paid for. Ordered the chicken salad it was some kind of reconstituted chicken in breadcrumbs, think chicken nugget texture. The salad consisted of cabbage and lettuce and the dressing was awful. The drinks and service were fine, but food unforgivable.

The girl that initially served us initially was fine. The woman who was supposed to make the coffee was on another planet. Doing everything but making the coffee. Chatting to other staff/manager etc It wasn't even busy. The two other customers in the cafe knew and could see what had happened and commented that things had gone down hill since a change of management. After 10-15mins of watching and waiting I went and asked. The original girl was confused why we hadn't received them and made us two mediocre coffees. The carrot cake we shared didn't seem very fresh. Won't bother going back.

Great GF options. A great place to dine that won't put a hole in your pocket. Really reasonably priced

This cafe is a hidden gem. It is along side of the garden section of Mitre 10. It has a fantastic outside seating area with great surroundings. The menu covers most tastes and cabanet selection is extensive. Well priced and most importantly good coffee.

Heard about how good the breakfasts are so thought I'd try it out. Value for money. 2 eggs, really good bacon, mushrooms, tomato, hash brown and sausage for $15.... bargain. Other than the sausage which was pretty poor, everything else was great on the plate. Really did not like the chocolate thickshake I ordered though so didn't drink it. Was extremely sweet and not chocolatey at all.
