   I was pleasantly suprised when eating here. The portion of food to price ratio was realy good compared to most restaurants like this. The food was amazing and perfectly prepared according to our requests. Honestly we expected these small portions but we had more than enough food on our plates. If there is anything I could fault them with it would be a personal preference thing like not having any basting or spice on the meat but that is just how it is done in NZ and you can add your own when they bring you your food but that is just me being silly. This place is amazing and will be returning soon !!!

   10 out of 10 for customer service! After moving to Christchurch from Auckland, we couldn’t believe the difference in customer service, we was actually blown away. Someone came over to us with 5mins to check if we wanted a drink & she was so friendly & helpful like she actually wanted to be there. It’s been years since we have had customer service that good. The atmosphere was a mix between wholesome/cosey & also buzzing. Our waitress offered to get me a new steak when she asked how mine was cooked & I said it was a little well done too which really surprised us. The cheesy garlic loaf to start was also so tasty! Will deffo be coming back for another visit. Thanks for your exceptional service :)

   I enjoyed the crackling pork bites for lunch today with salad and fries and was impressed with the service and the menu. There's an assortment of meals you can order here, from the chicken filo through to the seafood chowder and roast meals, kid's meals, and bargain deals for retirees as well as a generous loyalty program available for all. Good selection of drinks. Great decor.

   Five stags deserves five stars! The service was amazing and it’s Family friendly with a portable changing table. We ordered the roast of the day (beef), the beef cheek, and for desert the sticky toffee and date pudding. Food was sensational would highly recommend it to anyone, it’s worth the drive from Christchurch!

   Great service. Fried chicken awesome, mussels and prawns were very good. Roast beef was average. The duck was good. Expected more from sambal and rice was crunchy. Definitely recommend swapping creamy slas to veg as since when is creamy slaw served with rice!! All in all definitely recommend. Will be going back
