   The go to, amazing and best Chinese restaurant. Amazing dumplings, amazing rice, vegetables are delicious, decently priced and great overall. The service is amazing, always nice and they always remember you. The atmosphere is quiet but busy at the same time, great for a 1 on 1 dinner or a group. Overall a great restaurant with great staff and delicious food.

   Went for a birthday and sat a table complete with a lazy susan, was fantastic. The food came out quite quickly, there was a decent selection of dishes and all the ones we got were absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and efficient, nothing was a problem. Fun interior and all round good local vibes. Highly recommend!

   Dumplings are huge but super salty, especially the pork and chive one. Prawn toast is also very very salty. Pork and prawn noodle soup taste ok but the noodle is not what you’d expect for this particular dish, and we ordered take away but the soup wasn’t separated from the noodle as most restaurants would usually do, so as a result there wasn’t much soup left by the time we got home as noodles were soaked in it.

   The food was delicious, a good variety of Chinese cuisine on the menu. The staff are very friendly with a simile. Nice background music. There are some parking directly behind the restaurant. The kitchen is visible so you can see the chefs in action.

   Not being from Christchurch we wanted some Chinese and found this place which we decided to try. A little on the pricey side but we really enjoyed our dishes, honey bbq pork is delicious, great sweet and sour pork, satay chicken, combination fried rice and singpore noodles. Would come back so highly recommend.

   An excellent Chinese restaurant with a comprehensive menu and a pleasing wine list. I had the Yang Zhou Fried rice - (barbecue Pork with Prawns) which was absolutely delicious, and a glass of Astrolabe Charonnay. Suoerb, fast and friendly service. We knew it was a great choice when we walked in the door because the smell of the food was very nice indeed.Highly recommended.

   Our Club had a luncheon here. Could not fault food,service,staff or atmosphere. My mouth waters just thinking about the food we were served. Thoroughly recommend The China Kitchen. You won't be disappointed.

   Ordered vegetarian noodles which contained fish/crustacean oil, and the vegetarian dumplings, which either contained pork fat, or were cooked in pork fat (I suspect the pastry was made with pork fat). Not only that, it was cooked appallingly - I’d be embarrassed to send that out of my kitchen, let alone charge for it. Utter filth.

   First time dining here, authentic Chinese food. Amazing taste, clean environment and good service. Reasonable price to feed the family, will definitely go back again. The web site is up to date, the menu is available on the website.
