   One of the best East Asian Cuisines in Christchurch. This place has been a staple to me. The buffet options are tasty, quick on-the-go and there's a lot of variety on the menu to choose. It's also halal which is good since there's a limited amount of halal cuisines, especially the good ones. I recommend trying out the buffet option if you're in a rush somewhere or in need of a quick feed, if planning to dine in with the menu choices, I highly recommend the Thai Panang. Overall amazing cuisine, 10/10. Highly recommended trying this place out if you haven't.

   Nestled inside the Madras Market this little Balinese and Thai restaurant is excellent! Between two people we ordered their Pad Thai and their Bali Fried Noodles. Both were $17 in Aug 2023. The Pad Thai was sweet, tangy, saucy, and savoury. Everything I want from a Pad Thai. It was so moreish! The dish used the thinner, flat rice noodles — as expected. The fried tofu had soaked up sauce, so good! The Bali Fried Noodles were a new dish for me — haven’t had a lot of Balinese food. They used the Bean Thread Noodles, which gave a glossy, glassy look and an excellent texture. The dish was super savoury and seasoned with a soy based sauce. So good, I highly recommend! I love the Hawker/Canteen feel the Madras Market has and enjoyed sitting and eating here.

   Great price. Good food. Good location inside a food court next to Countdown, not far from Bus Interchange. The meal package start from $11 for small portion of rice/noodle + 2 dishes. Great service.

   Tasty, but the lady just scooped the vegetables in the chicken curry so I didn't get any chicken. Beef rendang is mostly potatoes. Poor lunch experience. Been here several times before but I won't be coming back.
