Ordered takeaway food, it's definitely value for the price. Use to be one of my favorite but the quality of food have gone downwards. Prawn tawa biryani was a big disappointed rest was OK not it use to be. Should look after the quality of food.
After a very long time visited Bawarchi yesterday evening and brought family pack chicken biryani. It was awesome, great taste and flavour, much better than Top In Town and other places. We all loved it, will definitely be back and thank you for your complimentary fruit custard !!!!

Authentic Indian food. After very long time I found tasty Indian food in Christchurch. Staff is helpful.
I have been looking for authentic yet tasteful Indian restaurant in Chch for long that can suit my taste palate. After trying the Auckland branch it made obvious to try this branch and didn't let down. The first time ordering online got super excited to see Bheja Fry Masala (Lamb brain) on the menu, as this delicacy is very rare to find. The first bite of Bheja Fry masala gave me nostalgic feeling of having the dish at back home fav local restaurant, the dish was scrumptious and perfect. After that had tried different dishes from the menu for veg- Tawa Paneer masala (must try), Chicken Bhuna Masala, Lamb Bhuna & Lamb Masala, etc., all the dishes tried were flavourful, delish and nothing to find fault. I like their Biryani but super-like Tawa Biryani, they're priced economical compared to big portion. The naans are soft and perfect (not too thick or too thin). One can get good deal/spl price if ordered online, the dishes/curry do not come with rice and I like it that way as most of the time end up throwing. The prices are economical, good portion size, tasty & flavourful dishes along with good service.
Loved the biryani! It was so amazing , i couldn't have any better food then this! Being from Hyderabad I was so missing Hyderabad . About eating biryani. Absolutely mesmerizing ❤️. Thank you bawarchi for this !
Enjoyed our dinner tonight as we were served chicken and lamb biryani, tandoori chicken with kofta, curry and naan bread. Defaintly recommend this resturant, with their beautiful authentic biryani and service was also lovely. Defaintly missing out if you haven't tried this before.
The best place for Biryani.. Indeed. I heard about this place from my friend. And yes it is. This is, i can say, authenticated place to find 'DAM' chicken biryani. And surprisingly it was only 12 nzd (very cheap). They have also more Indian food options with take away and dining both. Staffs was kind. Situated at peak location in Marivale. Guys if you wanna eat Biryani or Indian food stuff then go to this place i am pretty sure u wouldn't be disappointed.
Recommend the Beryani with a smoke flavour you can not go wrong. Seems there's also a buffet at a certain time. The service needs to be more friendly.
