Worst biriyani I’ve ever had in my life. It tasted like all the leftover scraps were mixed into the rice. The texture was soggy and completely disappointing
Edit: Thanks for offering to remake 2 of our curries, that was very nice of you and indeed they had less salt than before (though still plenty) which made them nicer to eat. This used to be one of our favourite places to get a TA from, but in recent times the food was getting saltier and saltier to the point where it's barely edible anymore (this is not just me - it's the entire family's experience - waaaay too much salt in ALL the mains we ordered for at least the last 3 times). Also, when you order online for a pickup - you only have the "pay in store" option, after which you are told it will be ready in 20-25min, so I wait a while and go to pick it up about 30min after I ordered. Without fail, they always only start making my order after I've arrived and paid, which means I need to sit there for 20min at a min and wait while all the UberEATS drivers get served before me. If you're not going to make an order when I place it - at least be transparent about that on your website! This place is obv a victim of its own success.
We were a bit disappointed with our visit. The staff especially manager didn’t seem to care much about our dining experience, which took away from the overall atmosphere. The food was 45 minutes late and lamb curry still tasted like sweet and had a flavour that wasn’t quite what we expected. The chilli chicken was okay, but the butter naan was unfortunately half-cooked. Hopefully, the restaurant can improve the food quality and service in the future.
Amazing food and excellent service! We ordered naan, rice, and two types of curry — everything was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The naan was soft and fresh, and the curries were rich and aromatic. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely come back again!
A great place with a variety of Indian cuisine for a reasonable price. Staff is friendly and the place is clean and well maintained. The food is delicious and absolutely worthy for the price paid. They are also available in a number of delivery platforms as well.
Had Butter chicken, garlic naan and a mango lassi, Butter chicken was tasty a touch sweet for my liking but still pretty good nice flavour, naan was good personally I like it with a bit more softer texture but what I got was nice. Would come again and would recommend trying Zyka
More spice and garlic too. Garlic Naan needs more salt and garlic. If you call my meal hot to spicy, not enough spice.. maybe the university children like it mild. Not me. Dont be so stressed working or cooking. Focus.!!
Disappointed in my meal and the customer service when paying. I ordered the chicken Korma, it tasted nothing like a chicken korma. I genuinely thought i received the wrong dish, so did the others at my table who also got it. It tasted questionably salty and smelt fishy. I could not force myself to eat more than 1/4 of it. The garlic naan was good but couldn't save my experience.
Food was good. I tried Alu Parotha and Mixed curry and it was good. If you are in Christchurch and want some good Indian cuisine then I recommend this place
