Sorry but the fish has an after taste like bad medicine to it. I couldn't finish the whole $17 special. The saving grace would be the vanilla smoothie and chips but still felt it wasn't worth it for the whole experience.
Just very pleasant all round. Food always consistent.
A devoted customer to previous owners cheeseburgers and chips. Made an effort to come on here to say to the new owners well done we'll be back. That was value for money and tasted just as good.
The owner has been serving his local community for years. His fish is cooked properly and the batter is not uncooked dough like many others in REWA and KURA. I can't stand the uncooked dough of the batter, its freaking garbage. However, this has not happened at Rosehill Takeaways that I know off. Others may have a different experience, but as a new customer I wish I had found him earlier. $5 chips can feed 4 adults, and they are tasty. Imagine $10 or $20! His combo deals are fair. The only snag is he has no eftpos and accepts cash only. But, the dairy is more than happy if you buy your drinks from them and get cash to pay for your chips.
I've lived in rosehill my whole life and this was my takeaway to go. Chip portions are quite small and fish is overbatted. Would recommend their cheeseburgers as they are worth ya buck. Overall not bad
This is my local fish & chip shop. I dont eat here often but when i do i usually get a burger and chips.Their burgers are delicous, reasonably priced and quite big. Their chips are ALWAYS hot, crunchy on the outside & light & fluffy in the middle. I personally would not get the fish because the batter they use is thick & its to heavy for me. They also dont have eftpos BUT they have the best burgers and chips in Papakura ib my opinion.
