One of the better chicken kebabs i’ve had in auckland. Amazing sauce and the chips were so good. 9/10 only because salad options are limtied in the kebabs.
Ordered a large chips from here today, and they were so overcooked, brown and dry. They were ready in 2 mins from when we ordered, so my guess is they were re-fried from chips that had been sitting, definitely not cooked fresh from frozen in that time.
Friendly service, surprisingly not greasy.
Your usual late night stop for a decent takeaway meal at a reasonable price. Definitely brought back the nostalgia of Club Raro in Papatoetoe and trying not to twist your ankle walking down the stairs to have a feed at Lil Abners. Also a good place just to get a roast chicken meal (that's not deep fried or battered).
Probably wouldn’t recommend the chicken, tasted like last night and an un-washed oven. I grew up with brothers who heated up leftover chicken from last night, for dinner and this is what it reminded me of. The chicken also had traces of blood dripping so it looks like my chicken was put back onto the rotisserie at the bottom, to be heated again, while fresh/raw chicken was cooked over the top of it. The chicken isn’t fresh at all - order was made at around 5pm and this is what we got. We’re new to the area but definitely won’t be back.

Papatoetoe does it better. Was expecting it to be the same quality. It was not. Super expensive as well.
Disappointed in the food. Have gone to lil abners in papatoetoe for many years but have now moved out these ways. Was excited to order a half chicken and chips combo only to get a dry chicken and chips that tasted disgusting, not sure why the chips have a sticky feel and taste to them but it's definitely not fresh. Will not be ordering from here again. What a shame.
