   Welfare BBQ is one of the best-value roast meat restaurants in Auckland — delicious, generous, and affordable. Their signature dishes like soya chicken, roast duck, and crispy roast pork are all fantastic. The soya chicken comes with a fragrant spring onion oil that makes it even more irresistible. The roast duck is another highlight — the skin is beautifully crispy while the meat stays tender and juicy. It’s the kind of comforting Cantonese-style BBQ that keeps you coming back again and again.

   Was in the neighborhood around 11am and decided to check out the hype. The place filled up pretty quickly with lots of takeout orders. I Ordered 3 meats (roast duck/charsiu/roast pork) on rice. It was tasty but have had better in newmaket - the duck pieces were a bit sad, only 2 pieces were meaty the rest were mostly bones. Definitely enjoyed the soy sauce and the duck sauce that I can say. Also the service was fast and friendly - the lady at the till was super efficient.

   When I’m craving roast duck, I don’t mind traveling all the way from the North to the South — that’s how good this place is. So far, it’s the best roast duck I’ve had. The skin is crispy, the meat is juicy, and the flavor is really well-seasoned. If you’re planning to get half or a whole duck, it’s best to pre-order a day in advance to make sure you don’t miss out — it tends to sell quickly. I also had the roast pork today. It was still tasty, but the portion I got had a bit too much fat for my liking. I usually prefer a better balance between fat and meat. Overall, still a solid meal and always worth the trip!

   The best roast pork, chasiu, duck and chicken I've had in Auckland. Noodles were nicely cooked. Rice was so good with the sauce. I cannot have enough of this.

   Apparently they are famous for their Roast Duck but we didn't get a chance to have a whole duck for ourselves. You will need to make an advance order before coming. I'll have to try another day to rate their duck. As for the Roast Pork and Duck Rice, it was okay. I'll have to try it again to be sure.

   Our go to place when we want some frills free, tasty Chinese food. Their crispy pork on rice and beef brisket noodle soup are our favorites. The staff are also lovely and their service is fast. Just wish they would always have crispy pork available in the evening as it gets sold out usually after 7pm.

   I walked passed and saw a queue so I decided to try it. It’s a Chinese BBQ meat in soup, on rice, or on egg noodles place. I went with Duck and BBQ pork on rice $15.50. It was great and a large quantity for the price. Rice had some soy sauce or something tasty on it. Definitely will go back.
