I think they need more staff because there's a lot of foot traffic, and as you can see in the photo, it's a bit dirty and gives the place a bad impression of hygiene.
I go here relatively regularly, and the food is normally good. However, I had the portobello Angus burger last week and the mushrooms were not at all fresh. Please don’t use old mushrooms - It ruined a perfectly good burger.
The size of the burger is amazing, truly hunger buster and justify the pricing. This was my first trip and I am coming back for more and will try all the burgers. One minor feedback the fries should be seasoned more, salt was missing.
Great Carl’s Jr in Takanini. Has carpark and free wifi. Price is fair and cheaper than Mc Donald’s.
I'm really disappointed in this visit. The shake I was given was NOT to standard for a Carl's Jr. There was literally NO ice cream in it. It was like they poured milk in a cup, and that was it. NOT WHAT A CARL'S JR SHAKE IS SUPPOSED TO BE! They were good when it opened, but it's as if they don't care anymore. Staff didn't smile or act friendly either. That was the final nail in the coffin. This experience ruined this American iconic restaurant for me. If I go back, it won't be in New Zealand.
Good burgers and nice chips
Service was great! Guy that served us was friendly and patient. Went about 9pm and empty except one other table was occupied. Cleaning was a let down tho, tables were a bit sticky (hadn't been wiped/cleaned properly) and floor around the table we sat at hadn't been swept. Food was hot/made fresh.
drive through experience not good, by the time we got our food and drove away it was cold. chips were barely full and cold and soggy. wasnt impressed with it given i paid $50
Gourmet Burger - giving the Golden Arch a run for their money. I would give them a awesome 5 stars rating if not for a better service from the crew at the counter. But when I took the first bite into my Burger (Jim Beam Bourbon Angus Burger) it was so amazing, I just have to let other patrons know that I had one of the best burgers ever. My wife laughed at my silliness. That's what Burgers ought to taste like! The Angus beef cooked on a fire grill and the famous Jim Beam Bourbon sauce spread over the beef plus other stuff (crispy onion straws, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and etc.) All bundle up into one whole delicious goodness. Carl's Jr has lift up their reputation!
