I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful the Howick Historical Village was! My 6 year old daughter loved going through all the houses and different buildings. I was so happy to see grind stones from my family windmill, the Partington Windmill. We took a picnic and had a wonderful dinner, spent over 2 hours here. Would highly recommend.

A very unique historical experience of an old world New Zealand village. There is butter and bread making, music and dancing, a blacksmith and a rug maker. Lots to see and experience as well as a nice cafe for coffee or lunch.

βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Review: βThis was our first visit to the Howick Historical Village, and itβs been on my bucket list for years since moving to New Zealand. Tonightβs Halloween festivity finally made it happen β and what a wonderful experience it was! The atmosphere, the creativity, and the family-friendly fun made it truly special. Iβm definitely looking forward to coming back to enjoy all the other events and experiences the village has to offer.

Wonderful place to visit and get a taste of our colonial history. We came on their event day and got to experience more. Fun stuff like book binding, even fresh hot shortbread straight out of the oven. Lots of things for kids to do and great to see people dressed up. Lady in the press room was very knowledgeable and helpful.

This is a fantastic little peace of East Aucklands history, it's a treasure. Even comes complete with a haunted house... or so they say...

A truly remarkable piece of history! Howick Village settlement began in 1847 when retired soldiers from England came to help defend Auckland...... A great deal of history attached to this village, it is a 'must visit' place. We are from England and have been here three times and enjoyed every minute of it. Thoroughly recommended and check out the history too!!

It was ad-hoc Saturday afternoon plan for me & my partner to visit this historic place. Loved the easy walk around with a bit of history. Put things into perspective for us. We appreciated more of whatβs available to us today.

I went on "live sunday" and get to see staff dressing up in characters! I was such a great experience to learn about the Victorian-era. Got to try some bread freshly from oven, engaged in a home-made butter and absolutely love the lesson by Mrs Hamllum in the classroom!
