I arrived a bit after 8pm On Monday 18th November 2025 and ordered two combo meals. While waiting for my food, I needed to use the restroom — only to find the door locked. I had to wait until a staff member was free before they could open it for me. I totally understand that some restaurants close their restrooms or dine-in area late at night for safety reasons, but closing the restroom at just after 8pm was a first for me. As for the food, I ordered a McChicken but it came in a Big Mac box. The two drinks were almost entirely ice — at this point I think they should be called “ice with a hint of soft drink” rather than iced drinks. Overall, not the best experience.

This McDonald's in Belmont offers a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, the crew members were notably friendly, which always makes a difference. A real bonus for parents is the kids' play area, allowing adults a chance to enjoy their meal while the children are occupied. The ordering and serving process was smooth and efficient during my visit. However, there are a few drawbacks. Compared to other McDonald's locations in Auckland, this one is quite small, and consequently, parking is limited. Finding the entrance can also be confusing; the signage isn't very clear, and it's easy to accidentally try entering through the exit if you're not paying close attention. Another area for improvement is table cleanliness. On this occasion, tables weren't cleared promptly after customers left, meaning leftover cups and tissues remained when new customers were looking for a seat. Finally, be aware that exiting the location can be challenging during busy traffic times, potentially adding a bit of delay to your journey. Overall, while the friendly staff, play area, and efficient service are positives, the small size, parking limitations, confusing entry, cleanliness issues, and tricky exit detract from the experience. It's decent for a quick bite, especially if you have kids, but be mindful of the potential inconveniences.

Sunday crew is the best. This Maccas takes all their breaks together & stops serving during that time. Definitely not my favourite Maccas location.

Food is always consistent and to their credit they always serve hot fries (so many try and just give you cold ones and hope you wont complain) The only thing is the restaurant is dirty, I wouldn't use the bathrooms there thus always just get takeaway. Such a pity as all they need are some decent commercial cleaners coming in and it would make the place feel/smell brand new again.

There’s a lady staff who was very rude. I don’t usually give ratings but I’m doing this now just for her. If there’s a 0 star option I would have rated 0 just because of her. She’s not suitable for any customer facing work at all. I realised there’s a photo of her in a older review and I’ve copied it here. THIS IS HER.

Not sure why this place is advertised as 24 hours on the weekend when this is the third time that they haven't been ready and needed to close for an hour between 530 and 630 am. Just put that in your hours instead of pretending to be 24hrs on weekends. Either that or get some staff who can actually accomplish the tough task of getting the food ready without an hour close time when it's meant to be open

Worst fast food restaurant ever. The female staff is very rude. The amount of the cone and the amount of coke given were very small, I asked her to add some more and she argued with me. Would never want to come here again.

Last night 02/06/22 popped out for some late night snacks at around 9 pm. We asked for 2 x fillet of fish meals (fresh chips) & a cheese burger. Looks like the burgers were lazily made up here in Auckland North Shore. Fillet of fish was hard on the sides but cooked in the middle & how difficult is it to place cheese in the middle of a bun? We asked for fresh chips but they didn’t bother to salt it. Lazy packaging too, they might as well just have dumped everything together..oh wait they did.
