I needed a bit of Alaskan yellow cedar for a boat building project. The staff were helpful and happy for me to poke around the stacks and pick the exact bits of lumber I wanted. Also the best price I've found for yellow cedar clears in Auckland.
Avoid these guys, they tell blatant lies about other products to get customers to buy theirs whilst misrepresenting their own! Then they sell wood from tropical rain forests under some supposed certification.
Amazing range of quality wood at great prices, I normally only buy a metre or two at a time and it's never a problem for staff to help select a piece for my requirements and cut it to length for me
