   Totally disgusted in the food and the service. Service was slow and no one knew what each other were doing. Food was horrible. For the amount that I paid for the food I bought, it was given to the dogs. The atmosphere was morbid and outdated. 1 star is only for me to post this review, nothing else.

2. Why Fly ★☆☆☆☆

   Tried this café for the first time, bought 3 pies and a scone and won't be going back. Pies weren't flaky, tasted like they had been sitting for a while. They were dry and tasted almost like the bacon and egg had been frozen then reheated in the morning. Scone was hard and burnt even after the recommended microwave for 30 seconds. Stale and dry. There were fully stocked cabinets of food, which for me is a red flag. Because you dont know how long its been sitting there.But I chose to ignore it thinking surely it would be good its the only bakery in the area. Customer service was great, just the food was a let down for me. Would recommend you take the extra 5 minutes and go to Sonny Bakery or Songbird Cafe at waiata shores instead

   I've eaten here twice. Nice barista coffees, plentiful covered outdoor seating. I had two mini quiches the first time, they were good and today I tried the salmon frittata which was OK, maybe a little heavy? But I shared French fries with my friend and they were truly divine: so crunchy, just perfectly cooked.

   I’m reluctant to write this review, but I feel I have to. I ordered the big breakfast, and the food arrived cold. The sausages were hard because of it, and although the menu listed tomatoes, I wasn’t served any and was later told they didn’t have them. The food is completely dry. The coffee wasn’t great either. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

   Stopped by almost accident on the way to Taupo. Not sure why this place doesn’t have more reviews, it was amazing. The selection of bakery goods, quick grabs fir breakfast were unlike I see in the US. We ordered to sit in. Well worth it. There was nothing left on the plate. The bakery goods are cheap too 4 for way less than I would get in the US. If I wasn’t on vacation I most definitely would come back. Please leave them reviews they’re worth it.
