Wanted to have a takeaway around 7:45pm (close at 8:30pm). Checked here on Google Maps, overall good reviews. BUT the person (don't know if it's the owner or employee) was extremely rude and said it was "closed". Had to eat elsewhere.
Came in for lunch. The bao and wonton are nice but the dishes on rice is the worst ever… the service was below average, the wait time was average. Overall an average restaurant
Transfer the plane from Sydney. Walking pass the small restaurant, I had the fresh wonton the owner just handmade. Super fresh and delicious. Even better than Shanghai local restaurants. The noodle and the HuangQiao pancakes , the meat moon cakes are amazing too If you want to have the original Shanghai tastes good, you should come to try.
The menu is correct as a Shanghainese restaurant but the taste needs some improvement such as the skin of Xiao Long Bao (小笼包) which was not as thin as expected, the filling of Shuang Dang（双档) did not have Shanghainese flavour.
Best of best — Shanghai steamed soup pork bun, they have amazing Shanghai food but the pork bun is the one must try. I have friends willing travel 45 km to visit this shop just for the —Shanghai steamed soup pork bun —— make sure you book before you go to avoid the disappointment——- yes , you need to book —-VH
